Pizzería Oliva — Restaurant in Mérida

English:

My friends and I came in to eat dinner here. we have tried both Oliva in the city and decided to try this one since it's the closest to where we live.

The service was terrible. my friends started off with drinks and I had brought my water so I didn’t get a beverage. When the waiter saw me drinking my water he told me no outside beverages were allowed. I would understand this if there was a sign posted on the window saying no outside food/beverages allowed, but there wasn’t.. that was the first thing that annoyed me because I usually take my water wherever I go and it’s okay.

My friends drinks where warm that they melted the little bit of ice that they put in the cups.. also not cool.

My friends ordered a pizza and a pasta and I ordered a pasta. My pasta came out about 5-10 minutes after they received their food. My friends were already done eating when my food came out. I was very annoyed by this be aside the whole point of us going out to eat is to enjoy eating together.

The service here is terrible. Both my friends and I agreed.

It’s unfortunate and makes me sad of how we were treated. Will not be returning.

I'm treated with better service at Merci and La Libertad and the food is delicious there.

Mis amigos y yo vinimos a cenar aquí. Probamos ambos Oliva en la ciudad y decidimos probar este ya que es el más cercano a donde vivimos.

El servicio fue terrible. Mis amigos comenzaron con bebidas y yo había traído mi agua. Cuando el camarero me vio bebiendo agua, me dijo que no se permitían bebidas del exterior. Entendería esto si hubiera un letrero en la ventana que dijera que no se permiten alimentos ni bebidas del exterior, pero no lo había... eso fue lo primero que me molestó porque normalmente llevo mi agua a donde quiera que voy y está bien.

Las bebidas de mis amigos estaban calientes y derritieron el poco de hielo que pusieron en los vasos.

Mis amigos pidieron una pizza y una pasta y yo pedí una pasta. El mío salió entre 5-10 minutos después. Ya habían terminado de comer mis amigas cuando salió mi comida. Me molestó mucho esto. No es genial.

El servicio aquí es terrible. Tanto mis amigos como yo estuvimos de acuerdo.

Es desafortunado y me entristece cómo nos trataron. No regresará.

Me tratan con mejor servicio en Merci y La Libertad y la comida allí...

Excellent easy spot to have delicious pizza. Stylized inside with air conditioning or eat outside in the covered patio.

We devoured the tabla italiana, finished an ensalada fresca and were deep into our pizza before I thought to take a photo. We tried several different wood fired pizzas -each was flavorful & tasty-margarita, pepperoni, di carne and maialino (do yourself a favor and try this pizza with sausage, rosemary, fontina cheese and caramelized onions - what a flavor combination!). We had no room for dessert… but will be back soon! Service was fast, friendly and accommodating of our late night group. We thoroughly enjoyed...

A fun, small, tucked away pizza joint. I ordered the classic Margherita pizza to test their skills, and while it had delicious sauce, gooey mozzarella, and charred blisters, the dough was over-hydrated, a bit too soft and mushy. The service was impeccable and fast, but the decor lacked character and could have used a quirky, boutique touch. Overall, it was a decent...
