Abeja Negra — Restaurant in Mexico City

I'm currently a picky Gringo from la Estados Unidos who loves a good burger.  Let's start by acknowledging you are getting a gourmet smash burger plus sides.  I was greeted and welcomed the moment I locked eyes on that menu.❤️  This family business loves what they do, and I had the opportunity to learn about the history of this burger joint.

The owner has exceptional cooking experience from Texas, which is where I'm from, Hook 'Em 🤘 ;)  He researched all the top competitors like Whataburger, Five Guys, and In & Out then sprinkled a lil OKC in the mix.  Oklahoma City is known for its Onion Burger, a must for burger lovers.  Now back to my home-cooked gourmet meal.

I was feeling a bit parched so the lemonade quenched my thirst, plus I loved the tin cup it came in.  I wanted to go BIG so I ordered the Abeja Reina, a triple, and a large fries.  I was blown away by the first bite of the fries, immediate foodgasm!  Wait there's more... the chef whipped up some spicy ketchup that took it to the next level. I had an appetite for a big girl so this burger easily satiated my inner MANimal.  Pass on the fast food and come here when you crave a burger.  I WILL BE BACK for the chicken sandwich. Had the pleasure of finding this small restaurant on Google maps before arriving in Mexico City. I have to say it was probably the best homestyle burger I’ve ever had in a restaurant. It was so good within a week we were back for more. The owner and host were both extremely friendly And caring.

The sides and the accompaniments are all homemade and delicious. The limonade we had to drink was both refreshing and homemade as well. The week before we arrived they had deservedly won a first prize at the city’s burger week. Cheers, from Canada, hope we make...

Hay casos en los que buscar nuevos horizontes son, simplemente, por conocer y aventurar la vida para respirar otros aires. Es el caso de Ángel y Betocci que migraron al norte y tomaron experiencias en varios restaurantes de Canadá y USA, la cual nos vienen a regalar, desde hace un año, con la apertura de @abejanegrakitchen emprendimiento que encuentran en Chichen Itzá # 117, en la Colonia Letrán Valle. Llegue en la bici para hacer hambre y pedí una DELUX ABEJORRO en combo $178 MNX Jul.2023 con un medallón de carne de res de 140 gramos y apachurrada a la plancha con mucha cebolla para que se cocine con sus jugos al mero estilo Oklahoma, abundante queso americano para gratinar en sus dos pisos, salsa de tocino, más cebollas asadas, base de lechuga fresca u crujiente, jitomate y pepinillos y todo dentro de un bollo artesanal tostado ligeramente con mantequilla para sellar armoniosamente.
