Pastelerías Esperanza — Local services in Mexico City

Normalmente disfrutamos La esperanza y lo usamos como primera opción para pasteles pero esta vez nos vamos enojadas y poco satisfechas. Es la primera vez que pedimos un pastel para tantas personas (80) y al venir a recogerlo nos dicen que lo tenemos que llevar sin cubierta porque no tienen para este tamaño (luego nos enseñan una caja cuadrada grande donde hubiera cabido de haber sido cuadrado el pastel - cabe decir que no pedimos una forma en especial). ¿Cómo puede ser que sí tienen base para este tamaño y forma de pastel pero no cubierta para el mismo? No solo ahora es menos probable que llegue entero a nuestro evento aunque vayamos con cuidado, sino también es muy poco higiénico llevarlo por esta ciudad con tanta contaminación así. La verdad estamos tan molestas por este hecho y por las respuestas medio groseras que recibimos al cuestionar la entrega que ya dudamos si regresaremos en otra ocasión.

We usually enjoy La Esperanza and use it as our go-to place for cakes, but this time we are not happy at all. It's the first time we have ordered a cake as big as this one, and they told us we have to take it uncovered and unprotected because they "don't make boxes this shape and size" (we didn't order a specific shape, just # of people). How can a huge bakery that makes hundreds of cakes, have a base for this cake size, but not a cover???? Not only is it more likely that the cake might not make it completely whole to our destination,but in this city full of air pollution, it's incredibly unhygienic. We are upset enough about this and the very impolite responses we got to our questions that we doubt we will...

Great bread, great desserts and cakes. I have recently been coming here more often ever since I moved very close. The bread is not cheap but neither is it expensive. The daily bread is always on the shelves and the one that is a day old the bag it up individually on the shelves. My favorite article in the bakery are the box brownies that come with nine of them. The brownies contain pecans just so you’ll know. Their milk is good for the decent price of 25 pesos for a liter. I come here at least once a week for 5 breads or the box...

Ahora quise probar la cafeteria porque siempre hay mucha gente..... Es porque solo hay 2 personas atendiendo una cobra y la otra prepara y de repente el que cobra ayuda a preparar De entrada no me dieron ticket y pague en efectivo. Tardaron mucho en entregarme y resulta que según el ya me había entregado y lo pone del otro lado de la barra de donde me encuentro yo, incluso estuve a nada de tomar el baguett de otro porque como no dice nada nada más lo pone en la barra. Olía raro el baguett qué pidieron mis hijos y di por hecho que era porque era alfo " nuevo" así que literal los oblique a comerlo hasta que me di valor para probarlo y en efecto sabia horrible. Espere en la barra pero nunca ni siquiera me volteo a ver el que atiende cobra así que me volví a formar, Previo a esto pregunte a los comensales si notaban algo raro y todos decían que a podrido. Una vez formada por fin llamo a su Gerente y se llevo mi plato argumentando qué acababa de salir. Llevo casi una hora que me digan si estaba podrido o no así es el sabor y nada. Lo único que puedo hacer es esta queja y ojalá me lean y pidan aquí su ticket, vengan con mucho tiempo y paciencia y revisen...
