Burger Queens — Restaurant in Mexico City

Burger Queens is one of those hole-in-the-wall gems that you discover accidentally while visiting a different neighborhood and doing something entirely different (we were visiting the weekend antique market and then stumbled upon the Aztec ruins / Cathedral service) …

And nested quietly in the ground floor of an apartment building is a small shop front that you might barely notice is a restaurant, except that there are tables & chairs.

Thankfully they had a bano (bathroom) and the menu is quite extensive, one cook is server and table cleaner - one person doing EVERYTHING.

Yet our food & beverages came quickly and hot too. My partner ordered one of the many chicken sandwich burgers (crispy, spicey & delicious) and I had Chilequiles (easily the best I’ve had so far). The other customers had different other delightful beverages, but we had simple tea & coffee.

The atmosphere is old, like the neighborhood; For white collar or blue collar workers, and the restaurant was filled with clearly local regulars, who were kind & friendly to us; If only we spoke Spanish, I’m sure we would have had lovely conversations with the other patrons.

Location is conveniently located near a beautiful old park, Aztec ruins, operating cathedral with convent & monks, markets, etc. We came on foot. Service was efficient, courteous & friendly. I would come back if we were visiting longer in CDMX. Highly recommended if you want an inexpensive good...

La verdad por las reviews que tiene este lugar dude en si comer ahí o no, pero cuando uno tiene hambre y está en medio de un lugar que no conoce pues acepta lo que se pueda, y vaya que salí de ahí más que satisfecho. En esta ocasión pedí una hamburguesa hawaiana, una malteada de nutella y unas papas a la francesa, y cada una de estas estaba deliciosa. Llegué cuando recién abrieron, así que la atención fue super rápida, y el señor que nos atendió fue super amable, al pedir la cuenta me la trajeron sin ningún pero y el precio estaba correcto. El lugar podría necesitar algunos arreglos o mantenimiento, peeeeero, sinceramente no es algo que realmente afecte a la experiencia de comer ahí. En general recomiendo el lugar si es que están por la zona. Está rica la comida y los precios...

La comida esta bien, pero el trato, el servicio y ambiente son malos. Parece que hacen las cosas de mala gana, vecinos incluso tratan de pedir a domicilio y siempre rechazan órdenes. (argumentando que no hay servicio, ya se acabo o no hay repartidor) Si vas l lugar, es más de lo mismo. Solo se salva por lo "bien" hecho...
