La nueva palma — Restaurant in Mexico City

Portions aren’t huge but is so cheap it really make sense ordering twice. Food quality and kitchen speed is suprinsingly good and fast. Copilco is characterized for having endless food options where most of the time quality lacks, this is not the case. My personal favorite are the chilaquiles with breaded chicken strips, this dish is really something else... the “meseros” will always call you “amigo” if you’re a Spanish speaker which is funny. The place is mysteriously attended by guys only. My only complain will be that sometimes they go a bit loco with the volume of the tv, specially with the soccer matches and the soap operas, but this is not they’re fault it’s a Mexican cultural issue...

The daily menú is good, but the portions are not that big. If you are hungry I recommend you to other something bigger, but you need to pay more. You can order several fruits water flavors and the drinks are great , but they are additional to the menu. The service is good. The azteca soup was really tasty. Buena atención, tienen mesas en la calle, si bien sirven para mantener la distancia con otros comensales, quedas expuesto al escape de los carros que se estacionan a los lados o de los que van pasando, además de que en algún momento en los locales de a lado salen a tirar el agua de limpieza a las coladeras de la banquetas y si eres muy exigente pasarás un momento incómodo, pero si has comido en las tortas a la salida del metro copilco, no es nada. Se limpian las mesas tras cada uso, aunque el letrero de la entrada donde está el nombre se ve lleva años que no lo limpian. En esta ocasión los alimentos se prepararon en poco tiempo y los platillos, si bien son comunes en su mayoría, los preparan en cierto modo particular, ese sería su distintivo además...
