Mallorca — Restaurant in Mexico City

You can find this elegant restaurant in a quiet neighborhood. No other restaurants around, just this one built in the corner. Once you get here there a loads of people eating outside or in line. We came around 11:45 but still loads of people waiting to be seated. We luckily were the last ones who got to order the breakfast menu. The food was delicious, we didn’t have to wait much to be seated even if it was quite crowded. The baked goods were perfect, tasty and delicious. But the service wasn’t the best, we were near the time kitchen closes and staff wasn’t very attentive to our needs and even forget a dish for one of the people at our table and we couldn’t order anything else after because kitchen was closed. El restaurante es muy bonito, el ambiente es tranquilo, era lunes y fue una comida de negocios. Se ve que para un brunch está muy bueno porque el pan lo hacen ahí mismo. Desafortunadamente el plato fuerte no fue nada bueno.

Ese día, una de las sugerencias era una hamburguesa de salmón y no estaba bien lograda, el platillo era un pan brioche con el salmón en una preparación pastosa con una masa blanca encima que se suponía según el mesero, era de queso parmesano, era bastante blanca más bien como cottage y con un sabor nada parecido al parmesano.

De verdad, sin afán de hacer un review nefasto, pero creo que algo estaba echado a perder porque más tarde me sentía muy mal del estómago, me cayó mal la comida. Tal vez por el calor algo no estaba bien, no sé.

Aún así, creo que fue mala suerte, porque un restaurante en esa ubicación, debe estar lleno los fines de semana y por el nivel de clientes, debe cuidar mucho su reputación y la calidad de sus alimentos. Las croquetas de jamón serrano estaban buenísimas, así que, mi sugerencia, es que se apeguen a su menú y que no se aventuren en inventar platillos raros por sacar un ingrediente que les sobra en inventario o que está cercano a caducar como pienso que pasó con el salmón o el queso.
