Toks — Restaurant in Mexico City

First time at this Toks. The first thing we notice was the calm ambiance. It was a treat after being in the suoer noisy city walk. My cousin ordered tacos de arrachera al gratín. A few minutes after getting her food the tortillas got hard. I guess you gave to be a fast eater to prevent that. She only ate the meat of one taco, the guacamole and took home the other two. I ordered the chicken enchiladas en mole artesanal. The mole was not sweet, nor too spicy. I liked it, but the chicken my enchiladas was very dry. The soups were really good along with the drinks; agua de tamarindo con mango and the naranjada con agua natural. Hot chocolate and capuccino were good and the baileys cake was ok. It wasn’t too sweet, but the bread a bit dry. The restaurant is family friendly and wheelchair accesible, but didn’t see a difference in table heights for wheelchair accommodations. Beware of...

AMERICANS:WARNING!!! The food was good and also the service. This is a nice, clean place to eat. The problem is that their register did not accept my VISA debit card or my VISA credit card or my Citi VISA credit card. They told me their machine did not accept American VISA. What the? All of a sudden this is my problem? Luckily, there was an ATM close by or else I would been talking to the policia, I guess. Or maybe washing dishes to pay for the meal. Obviously, this is something TOKS needs to get fixed.

El lugar está bien, la comida a la carta tiene de repente un toque muy "gourmet", los precios se me hacen un tanto elevados en cuanto a los postres y algunos platillos. Los paquetes de comida se me hacen muy buenos, la sopa muy rica, las opciones de comida, el agua del día excelente y el postre a la medida. El servicio fue rápido, había poca gente y el personal muy amable. Y bueno, por qué tres estrellas? Mi experiencia no fue del todo buena. Me salió un cabello a la mitad de mis enchipotladas, me cambiaron el platillo, pero obviamente ya no lo disfruté tanto, y para fregarla, estaba ahí "celebrando" mi cumpleaños, y pues, no llevaba forma de comprobarlo, así que no hubo regalito (las promos de cumple son algo así​ como la cuenta gratis del cumpleañero, dos copas de vino o una jarra de sangría, bajo ciertas condiciones) el Wifi nunca entro, y baah'......
