February 2024 update. Group of 6 for dinner at the recently opened upstairs. Very nice premises, and lots of staff so great service. The food was great as always; I had the very large portioned Chicken Parmigiana and my with had the Fettuccine Carbonara. A three piece band provided music towards the end of our meal. I would suggest that they drop the volume on their amps as it made dinner discussion difficult. Very talented though.

An Italian restaurant in a Mexican town, playing Mexican music, speaking Spanish. Place is very friendly, people are just so kind just as you find throughout the town of La Cruz. The restaurant is comfortable and spacious plus outdoor seating. We had a chicken Parmesan which wasn't really memorable, BUT their Special Calzone was perhaps the best I've had in my life. Perfectly cooked with just the right kind of ingredients. The basket of bread was a bit on the stale side. This place is all about the calzones and pizza, stick with those and you will love it... And they deliver.

Second visit: This time we got a small Hawaiian pizza and the Special Calzone. It wasn't just a fluke, that Calzone is the best I've had in my life! Pizza was good too, wood...

The looongg wait put a damper on the dinner.

The pasta was okay- the pizza was tasty. Their bread really shines here. I’m not sure if this place can handle the number of take outs and dine in but everyone seem to be waiting and waiting and waiting for food. You may have a better experience ordering takeout here as they seem to prioritize them.

The waiters seem attentive. There just isn’t much they can offer when your food is not ready.

This place seems to be filled with tourists, didn’t really see any locals…which worries me but my child wanted pasta so we came here.
