La Quinta di Francesco — Restaurant in Nayarit

Valentines Day in Bucerias was a special day. We reserved a table for 7pm and were quickly seated. After a few minutes our server arrived to take our drink orders. A nice bottle of pinot grigio and a rum and coke. Appetizers were a fabulous salad and a tasty charcuterie board whuch the four of us shared. Main course was lasagne which was delicious plus two servings of spaghetti Bolognese and a gnocchi with bolognese sauce. The courses arrived at intervals and gave us time to digest the food. The timing for our mains was a little off and my gnocchi arrived some some time before the others. The restaurant was very busy with people arriving and departing regularly. I have a place in Bucerias so have eaten at most of the local restaurants. La Quinta is an authentic Italian restaurant a block behind the Chedraui grocery store. They do a number of items well but it's my go-to spot for two items: pizza and stromboli.

They make their pizza with a very thin crust which is the way I like it. My favourite is the Amore Mio but it's even better if you knock out the chorizo and ask for double bacon.

I also REALLY like their stromboli (which is a baked calzone with ham and pepperoni in addition to the standard cheese and Marina sauce). Get extra sauce on the side for dipping.

I've had pasta at many places in the Bahia de Banderas area. Mostly you get a saucer of pasta for a very high price. This place is the best in the area. We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and we got a big bowl of pasta with 6 meatballs. That's not a typo, 6 each. We started with appetizers, mine was bruschetta and my wife had spinach. Her's was a good plate full of greens and mine was 8 big pieces of bread loaded with Italian salsa. We both had coffee, which was outstanding. The total bill 606MP. Service was outstanding too.
