After many years of passing by this quaint little restaurant, we decided it was time to give it a go as it was our last night, and it came on the recommendation of many friends. We made a reservation the night before, and had a nice little table and ordered a drink to start. The service staff seem to be a little confused on who is tending to our table, but they were all pleasant. We ordered our main entry, one of us having the new menu item Chop–Mein, Which was apparently a combination of both dishes. which was apparently a combination of both dishes. We chose noodle base after inquiring about them, as well as the beef as the protein. The other entrée was the pad Thai with chicken and shrimp.
The entrée was served very quickly, which was unexpected and welcomed. Upon mixing the Chip-Mein, it was observed that there were very few noodles in the dish and one how to search for it. After finding some noodles, there was proximately three forkfuls of noodles. The five little pieces of beef were chewy and very salty, and the plate was loaded with liquid on the bottom, which one would expect to have more noodles. The pad Thai dish was OK although the chicken seem to be over cooked which is a common thing in Mexico, but it was tasty.
The chop mein dish Was disappointing, and we flagged down a server who apologized and asked if we needed anything else. We told them that there was very little noodles when in fact, we had asked for noodles, and the beef was salty and chewy. She took the plate and within three minutes the “manager” came to the table to ask us what the problem was with the food. After listing the main three things that we thought were wrong, he immediately became aggressive, telling us. We basically didn’t understand the dish, even grabbing a menu and pointing at it, and lecturing us on what exactly the dish entailed.
The most unbelievable interaction was that he and the chef went through the plate that we sent back and could not find, Any of the beef. She said she ate the beef and gave me one to try as there was only four pieces in which he corrected us and said there were “so many grams” upbeat. What he was insinuating was that it couldn’t have been that bad if you eat at all. When we told him we thought the dish was salty. He came back with “we don’t use salt“. I said well maybe it’s soy sauce. He said right away “we don’t use soy sauce“. I said I don’t know what it is, we aren’t spice specialist, but something with high sodium was in it.
He was very confrontational, and when I challenged him on something, he immediately came back around the pole and stared me down. In the end, we don’t think he would’ve been so confrontational, so there have been full tables right beside us. My wife was tearing up she was so upset.
One of the nice servers came after him and asked if we wanted something else and she ordered the cashew chicken with rice, which was lovely. That meal came delivered by this aggressive manager and plopped down onto the table with a comment “do you need anything else“? And that was it. While we were eating this, he went across the road and had a cigarette staring us down. When we asked for the bill, it still had the Chop-Mein on the bill, but the price was the same as the replacement dish, and we just wanted out of there.
It was the worst thing we have ever come across in going to hundreds of restaurants in our lives.
He obviously needs some ‘anger management’ training or find a...

After being at the beach, I was debating on pizza or Thai food for dinner. I went to the front counter and asked if I could use the restroom so I did and went back to read the menu. Not sure if it was because I look Mexican and had a ragged backpack on but I wasn’t attended right away. Maybe they just thought I wanted to use the restroom only?
The owner walked past me a few times and the guy at the counter finally attended me and said to take a seat on some benches (their waiting area). He asked if he could get me something to drink and asked for a Chingolina Iced Tea. After about 10+ minutes of waiting and talking to other guests debating on staying cause a line started to form for seating, I was starting to wonder if I should just order to go.
The owner asked who was next or who still needed a table and once he told her I was waiting she apologized and got me a table that had an extra guest their, wasn’t eating just went with the party of 2 that was eating and chatting. A local who worked for one of them.
By that time I already knew what I wanted and ordered right away. Again the owner apologized for the wait and put in my order.
In total I was there for about an hour 1/2.
Being born in the area, having family, being raised in Oregon and coming to live here for a few months; I wanted to give the place a try and get to know what Bucerías has to offer. I decide to deal with appearance situation I encountered. I would think that my perfect English pronunciation would give off some glue that I wasn’t a local. Local or not, no customer should get looked over based on their overall appearance.
I was very pleased with the food. I got a mild yellow chicken curry with rice. Definitely met my expectations of Thai Food. The flavors were impecable. The fresh coconut on top gave it the perfect touch.
I will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family visiting in their future and will be returning with my family who are all brown, local, hard working Mexicans and from a ranch for my birthday that’s coming up this February.
Why, because I enjoy quality food that’s healthy for us and caring customers service. It’s a different taste than the daily Mexican food we eat and I would like to enjoy good food with good people on my birthday.

Read moreEveryone was really angry in that place although the restaurant was full, no one meets you with a smile, a person looked like a female with a short hair was particularly angry and I saw how they took utensils from an older gentleman, that person must have worked in prison canteen before. Food took forever, first came food of my husband and the drink and 30 minutes later when my food never came and we asked about it we have heard from a service person that we have got to understand this or that instead of sorry or particular time of arrival of my plate. So I female had to wait for both for my drink and food for half an hour after my husband had his dinner and everyone was super hostile. At the end we were kind of kicked out there for asking too many questions. I hardly recommend anyone this place. So many other...
