Two words : al pastor!!! Doing it and doing it wow & WELL!! This is their signature. My last trip to Puerto Vallarta this was the first place I went to for tacos...pretty blessed to set the bar high. Since then tried many other al pastor places and they just miss the mark. Every element here's on point -meat flavorful and moist (not dried out and over done like many places), tortillas- fresh in the Nuevo vallarta location there is a tortarilla around the corner. Pineapple roasted and fresh. The the salsas and onion cilantro really send this into another word.
The volcano is essentially the al pastor on a crunchy tortillas and with melted cheese. So tasty!
#Go early or late they are open till 2am on most nights. We went at 945 on Saturday and had a shirt wait since we were only 2 person party. #Line of locals (great sign) and tourists form at dinner. The location in Puerto Vallarta was PACKED dinner time and later.
They are fast! ordering is on paper see photos. But you can always add on. #Courtesy is that you don't linger as there are usually hungry eyes watching you vying for your table. And... "come on man" don't be that person.
Covid- temperature taken, servers weak masks, hand sanitizer available tables are as far apart as they can be while trying to maintain distance, but its really not that far. Take out available as well so could be a covid...
Read moreThe food was absolutely amazing. Really the only thing to order is Al Pastor - absolutely incredible - mind-blowing good. The meat portions are generous. Though the tacos were amazing, I & the kids liked the Al Pastor quesadillas (which are still open-faced, like tacos, but with cheese & larger) even better. Though some in our party felt the meat was sightly dry & preferred the tacos Suadero down the street.
The waiter spoke English okay. We waited on a narrow, crowded, tiny sidewalk for about 45m to sit and they called a few Spanish speaking groups ahead of us until I called the host out on it. The employees weren't that nice, except for Pepe. The place isn't run very efficiently, especially considering how busy it is & this is a satellite location to the original in Puerto Vallarta.
Everything costs like 20 - 30 pesos ( about $1 or $2). You wait about 15m for food. No chips & salsa here (or anywhere). Found out that it is possible to...
Read moreI’ve been coming to PVR since 2021 and always make a stop at Panchos. They are hands down the best tacos in town and I have been to both locations. This location is not as busy as the malecón which is nice if I’m really hungry. The malecón location also doesn’t offer free refills of Jamaica, unlike this one. They make the limonada from scratch too which tastes amazing! I never get sick eating at this restaurant which attests for their clean...
