Hanaichi Plaza O2 — Restaurant in Nuevo León

The service here was great. They were always very attentive and accommodating. I was very disappointed with the quality of the sushi. The salmon and hamachi sashimi was okay. The nigiris were really bad, we only liked one and we thought one would get us sick, but thankfully it didn’t. The chutoro and otoro were very low quality and not fresh at all. The dessert was decent. They have a nice speakeasy downstairs though. We asked if they could bring us the bill downstairs and they were very accommodating. The machine didn’t have a good signal because it was underground and they kept badgering me to pay even when it was obvious it wasn’t going through because of signal issues. I told them I would pay on my way out as I was enjoying my drinks downstairs and they seemed to be fine with that for 10 minutes. After that a manager kept coming to badger me and even told me it was probably an issue with my card. I told him it was clear it was the weak signal underground and he wouldn’t listen. We finished our drinks and went upstairs to pay and there was no problem with the card and it went through fine. This place left a really bad taste in my mouth. Place is almost always empty, nice decorations and music, but empty, no vibe, no soul, no owner present…!!!

Chef at sushi 🍣 bar is a Master of Niggiris and knowledgeable but again, Nigiris are small and overpriced.

Ramen 🍜 is so bad I cant find where to begin, avoid at all costs…!!!

The soft lighting and layout of this restaurant makes it great for dates. The larger tables will work for dinner with groups of friends or family as well. We started off with Tokio slipper cocktails which were nicely presented and refreshing. The edamame starter was perfectly spiced to enhance its flavor.
