El Papalote Taco & Grill Constitución — Restaurant in Nuevo León

Nice looking in outside. We went here based on reviews and proximity. On a Tuesday at 12:30. It was quiet. One other table in the place. I’m writing this review as I’ve finished my food already and they are just bringing my wife’s food to the table.

That’s the first problem. Why was there a 20 minute gap between food delivery. Most of us are already done. She will begin to eat her food.

The second problem. We asked for well done steak. It’s medium, maybe medium well at best. If they were going to take so long, couldn’t it at least be right?

I ordered shrimp Monterey tacos. The third issue was: They were so cold I had to request they heat them up. I was a me to have my tacos reheated to room temperature and eat them before my wife’s food came out.

All around the service was great. The waiter was very attentive and helped fix the kitchen issues as best they could. I’m not sure why it was such a mess in the kitchen. There was only one table. We weren’t in a rush to get our food. We could have waited and ate together. Most restaurants bring all the food together.

Also the care for details could be much better. We ask for well done. It was cut steak. There was no way to mistake medium well for well done.

Zero quality control and attention for detail. That is what our visit is overshadowed by. it was rather disappointing. We are traveling. And I wouldn’t even go side returning here on my trip. Or if I ever return to the city. Nothing was so amazing or great to draw me in. Zero wow factor. The only wow was the zero attention for detail. Having to send two things back. It wound have been 3 things, except my mother in law was two nice. The only meal this restaurant was able to get right on the first try was my daughter’s kids meal.

Again the waiter was excellent. took care of everything. Kept our chips full. And facilitated fixing everything the kitchen errored in.

By the time we left there were 4-5 tables here. But very low traffic at this time in a Tuesday.

Other notes. They gave 4 parking spots out front. Why is the only entrance 100 meters from the main parking. We walked in the back. With 90% of your parking in the back. Should be set up to accommodate an entrance close to...

Este es uno de los mejores lugares para comer en Monterrey tiene una muy buena comida y es muy variada. El estacionamiento está moderado caben alrededor más de 30 carros. El servicio aquí es muy bueno los meseros son muy atentos y serviciales. Los baños están muy limpios eso no es un problema. Las mesas también están muy limpias y dependen donde te sientes Porque en la parte de abajo las mesas tienen un tamaño normal pero en la parte de los lados las mesas tienen si es muy grandes. También tienen una barra en la que puedes pedir cualquier bebida Y si deseas puedes pedir una yarda de cerveza para tu propia mesa. Yo fui a el restaurante cuando fue el partido de Los tigres y los Rayados se llenó mucho porque fue el partido pero en un día normal no está tan saturado. Tienen sala de espera por si hay mucha gente pero no están espaciosa. La decoración del lugar es increíble los cuadros que tienen colocados alrededor de todas las paredes forman un muy buen detalle junto con los demás adornos que tienen colgados, las frases que tienen los cuadros son muy graciosas y aportan un buen toque a la mesa. La comida es muy variada puedes pedir desde hamburguesas hasta sándwiches porciones de carne y ensaladas y en las bebidas puedes pedir refresco o bebidas preparadas. Por lo general no frecuentó mucho este lugar pero recomiendo este lugar porque es un muy buen sitio para poder pasar el rato y venir después del trabajo o...

Amazing tacos here and more. It's more expensive than some other places but it's really worth it and they serve nice potatoes with the tacos as well. Refill drinks make it worthwhile as well and their parking is free.
