I recently had the pleasure of dining at Holstein Steakhouse, and it truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm, attentive service that set the tone for an unforgettable meal. A luxury dining experience in Monterrey, worth visiting for the drinks alone! We stayed at the Westin next door, so it was a very simple walk over.

Every dish and drink came with exquisite presentation and care from the staff. The bread even came with a quick story and multiple rolls inside the sourdough “mother”.

The wagyu fondue was to die for, as was the lobster Mac and cheese. I will be dreaming about both of those for a long time coming!!

My steak was literally perfect, so tender and flavorful with the rock salt. And they sliced it in front of us! Beef Wellington was not my cup of tea but my partner thought it exceptional.

Felt like we were in an episode of “is it cake” with our “toilet paper” dessert - it was really neat and the whole thing was edible and the cake itself was rich and moist. We wanted the ice cream corn on the cob but they were out 😢

So it was my first time trying wagyu steak and I had very high expectations.. but my husband isn’t aware of how steaks come in he asked the size, and I explained it’s more of by weight of the piece of steak, so I ordered the wagyu ribeye, and I feel like since my husband asked about “size” they gave us the most large thinnest piece of meat they had.. which took away from the texture for me, it was specifically only for me, so size didn’t matter I wanted a nice thick piece of steak, despite it probably being the size of my palm, that would be sufficient for me. I believe I ordered 250/300g of steak. Definitely trying another place because for my first time trying wagyu from my research and desire I’ve done on this piece of meat, I’m in search to fulfill my cravings.
