After a long travel day yesterday, Jupiter and I spent the night in the resort sleeping & catching up on rest. We awoke this morning with hunger in our bellies and ready to explore. I needed coffee. Not the kind you get in the hotel but actual espresso with love. I found a little spot-thanks Google- and we traveled a few blocks to this little place called @casadelcafe79 . Simple. Beautiful. The smell of coffee beans and home made sour dough Cinnamon Rolls driftes out of the small bungalow, we enjoyed a perfectly balanced breakfast with the most delicious coffee ☕ The spinach and mushroom omelet with pickled beets and home made baguette with refried bean puree- omg! So so good! The yogurt parfait with house fruits and local honey was an absolute treat! Of course the cinnamon roll queen herself had to try the sour dough Cinnamon roll fresh from the oven made by the wife owner herself! And the olhusband owner treated us to a banana muffin that was absolute perfection! This mom and pop (husband and wife) spot is a must try! Funky little spot right up our alley! And of course, what is love?!?! We think...
Read moreI had an absolutely amazing experience at Casa del Café in Huatulco.honestly don’t know what other people were talking about in their reviews because this place exceeded all expectations. The smoothie bowl was one of the best I’ve ever had—and I eat a lot of smoothie bowls as a vegan. It was so thick, creamy, and perfectly balanced. I ordered the mango, banana, and spinach bowl, and it was absolutely delicious, topped with fresh fruit and seeds. So good!
The coffee was equally incredible. I had an almond milk cappuccino, and it was perfect. Sometimes almond milk doesn’t pair well with coffee, but this one was so smooth and flavorful—it really shows the high quality of their coffee.
The service was exceptional, too—so friendly, attentive, and kind. I felt truly welcomed here.
This place is a solid 10/10. I can’t wait to come back! Gracias, Casa del Café, for such an amazing experience....
Read moreFantastic! A great stop for breakfast. Iced latte great, iced chai (dirty) great. Omelet was light, flavorful, and filling. Yogurt bowl was far better than any other I have had. Adorned with seeds and fruit with granola to complete the presentation. The salsa here has everything you want smoky, spicy, flavourful, but does not melt your face off. Now, to the kicker, the cinnamon roll. At Pantry on Magnolia, we make a cinnamon roll that I have touted cannot be beaten. Cinnamon rool at casa de café is Rocky, in Rocky 1. It may not have won the fight, but it lasted all 12 rounds. That is a victory in itself! I must go when...
