We were recommended by a couple who has been coming for a while and we thought we would give it a try as all of the food choices are things that we typically eat and enjoy. The location was a bit tough to find down a little back street but, after knocking on the door and entering, I thought it was a wonderful little oasis. The biggest thing, in the heat of PE, is the lack of suitable air movement. There were a couple of small fans but it turned into a total sweat lodge experience, which really detracted from the enjoyment. Why not put another half dozen fans so that everyone gets a bit of air movement? Before thinking that we have chosen to come to the heat in PE and now we are complaining, we have not had a complaint like this about any other place. We have been coming in far-hotter April in prior years so this year is actually pleasant. This was unique in that it was inside, low ceilings, no air movement, and it resulted in a stiflingly hot evening. Cold drinks are always a solution to that. Unfortunately, each and every drink order was wrong, without fail. Simple drinks, repeated to ensure there was understanding, yet it was still totally wrong. On to the positiveâŚ.the food was wonderful. The pad Thai and butter chicken and appetizer platter were all good. Not the best but not the worst. If you have some unseasonably cool weather or want to sweat out whatever ails you, definitely...
Read moreSuch a gem!! The restaurant is beautifully decorated. Coming from Asia myself, it gives you a serene feeling as if you were somewhere in the South East Asia when youâre sitting at the restaurant. I ordered butter chicken with basmati rice, naan, and raita for dinner. As someone who used to worked at an Indian restaurant for a year, I wouldnât exactly call it authentic, but the taste and the presentation of food are absolutely wonderful. You can certainly taste the chefâs enthusiasm in it. I was almost going to lick the plate clean for real. I also had chai ice cream with granola lime fudge for dessert. Iâd say the dessert is equally outstanding as something youâd have at a five star restaurant. Itâs beautifully presented. There are so many layers to the taste. I am bad at describing it with words but it was a very delightful experience savoring that place of dessert. Not to mention that the service, price, and atmosphere are all to the point. They also provide an extensive menu of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Please, if youâre ever in Pto Escondido, and you like exotic food, you have to come to this...
Read moreWithout a doubt the best meal we've had since we arrived in Mexico 5 weeks ago. I absolutely loved everything. The menu is so interesting, be prepared for a difficult decision when ordering! Konnie gave us some great tips though to help us make great choices. We loved our meal so much on our first visit, we booked to return before we even left! You have to try the Green Papaya Salad - it's so fresh with a little bit of heat, it's to die for. The butter chicken is also so flavoursome, and the ribs đ On our second visit we went more Vietnamese and ordered the BBQ pork noodles (I've honestly never had pork like this in my life - you will not regret ordering this) and the Pad Thai with beef. The beef so succulent, it just melted in your mouth! I haven't even mentioned the delicious desserts- a refreshing and delicious key lime pie and a great vegan brownie with vegan ice cream. Wow đ If we were staying longer in PE, we would return many more times. You have to go here! Bring cash and reserve in What's App in advance. And go hungry because you will want to order everything!! Oh and finally, I recommend the lime...
