Coconuts Beach Club — Local services in Oaxaca

Ok this was the worst experience I had in P.E. $1150 per person for the day. (Didn’t know better: 2nd day here) Really gross drinks made with cheap headache booze. No waiter service where we were perched as far away from the tacky DJ as possible. (Why inflict sped up dance music when we are all here for the pounding serenity of the surf?!) The birds are all over the food buffet, so if you do go here know that there’s a menu with adequate tacos. The pool is beautiful but bathtub warm, the Bacocho rip currents will send you to an easy walk to Playa Coral for an ocean swim.

As a solo traveler this was exactly what I was looking for - a beautiful, secure spot where I'm comfortable leaving my things while I swim. Also it's all-inclusive which I tend to prefer, even if it's a little pricy (1000MXN). The scenery is gorgeous, the pool is generous, the drinks are free-flowing, and there are plenty of pool chairs and beach cabanas. And they have hammocks! Downsides are that you have to go to the bar for service (no waiters, but that might be a low-season thing), food is only served from 2-4PM (again, low season) and it might have the worst food I've found in Puerto (which, to be fair, has a lot of...

$80 per person is way to much for the services provided. Towels not included, no service by the pool, they don't bring you drinks or food or even help adjust the umbrellas. For $80 they really should be providing basic service and it shouldn't be so hard to get the drinks we paid for. The food was "ok" and that's being generous.
