This so-called 4-star-hotel is totally overrated - the staff is very kind, but the paid breakfast is less then you'll get on an airplane, it's not more than a starter. You'll get no juice if you already took 3 tiny pieces of fruit. Or you'll get one glass of cheap juice from concentrate (not even real juice in a 4-star hotel!), but then no fruit. And don't ask for a second small glass of juice - you won't get it, you already had one. You can choose only one tiny meal, and nothing more. But no extras like chicken or so. Just tacos with a sauce on it. That's it. After this breakfast, you have to go to another place, because you'll be hungry as before. I'm staying in hotels around the world most of the year, but this breakfast is one of the worst I've ever got. If I were here on vacation, I would cancel right away and change my stay. The rooms are big but totally basic - I wonder how they got 4 stars - not even a fridge or a water cooker in the room. If you want more water than provided in the room, you have to pay. Sorry, this is 4 stars and we talk about water!! Never experienced this before, and this is not my first time in Mexico. They just want you to pay for everything. In the morning I wake up because the laundry is in front of my window. The view outside the window is a white wall. You will not get a good sleep here, because you hear EVERYTHING that happens in this hoteI. I would not recommend this stay at all for vacation, in a hostel I would feel more welcome. Read the other reviews - I'm not the only one with this terrible experience here, especially regarding the breakfast. We kindly told them our problems with the breakfast, but they are not willing at all to improve their service. Today at breakfast I kindly asked again: "I believe it's not possible to get a second glass of juice?" - The answer: "no, not possible, just one". If it wouldn't be so horrible here, I would have to laugh. The pictures provided by the hotel are far away...
Read moreThis hotel is stunning, very clean, and well-located. It's probably the nicest hotel in Bachocho. It's an excellent choice for families because there's a pool, parking lot, and the rooms are huge!
AC is good. Bed is comfortable. Hotel is very quiet. Room has blackout curtains and some rooms have a little ocean view. I got great sleep.
Wi-Fi is good in the pool and restaurant area, and is in-and-out in the rooms. Pool is very clean but lukewarm.
The restaurant is solid but... I got breakfast and they took my room number. When I was done, I walked away, thinking they would charge it to the room. The waiter came running after me as if I was dining and dashing! I felt like the misunderstanding could have been handled much less aggressively, as 4-star hotels usually let you charge food to the room... No reason to run after someone like that!
They also don't have free water for guests... You get two small bottles a day. They charge for more small bottles. I had to walk to the bodega at 11pm at night and catch a taxi back to get more substantial drinking water. This was really inconvenient.
They have beach towels for guests, but they aren't always available.
The front desk is happy to call you a taxi and give you towels and help you out to the best of...
Read moreI have so many things to say about this place, I'll start with the positive. Is absolutely beautiful. We got our wed pic taken there and even the photographer loved the view of the hotel. But, it has no amenities, they charge you for ice. 25 pesos a pitcher. The bag with 20 kilos of ice from store is 15 pesos. If you want to take drinks to pool you cant. They charge you for opening a bottle of beer, wine, or any kind of drink. If you are ok with no fridge, ice machine, coffee maker, and you dont mind having an extra bed in your room, this is your place. And I will say this, this hotel is designed to experience the Puerto Escondido living, surrounded by beauty and quietness. My husband and I loved it, we will definitely be back, even thoug there is no special note, wine, or anything for people that they are staying there on their honey moon. The hotel is clean, beautiful, quiet and every single person on their staff has a warm smile on their face. Thank you Aldea del Bazar, staying at your place build forever memories for my...
