While staying at a nearby hotel we ate here twice and if we could have we would have eaten nearly every meal here. The service was amazing, the food was excellent (and that says a lot from our family of 9 who are picky when it comes to taste and quality) and the prices were super reasonable (I’m actually surprised they don’t charge more). The food was very fresh, especially the fruit platter we ordered. There is also a lady who is a street vendor that is permitted to sell pastries to the restaurant guests. She sells Guava rolls, apple strudel and sourdough rolls with poppy seeds on top with cranberries inside. Whatever you do, don’t assume she’s just any old vendor. Those are the best pastries I’ve had in my entire life period. Anyways back to the food-one day we had the breakfast buffet and the other time we all sampled different food and loved everything including their fresh made juice. Don’t waste your money going anywhere...

Just incredible! When arrived to Huatulco, we asked to 4 different people at the hotel, airport transfer and a delivery driver to recommend the best place to try the Oaxacan mole. They all suggested "El Sabor de Oaxaca".

The place is located steps away from the main square in town. We were warmly greeted by the owner who graciously helped us personally during the visit and along with our server, made sure we had everything we needed through our meal.

After going through the menu he suggested a sampler platter and one other specialty. The taste, flavor and texture were out of this world. Although we were sharing these 2 dishes with another couple, we still had a very full take out box. Outstanding service, great flavors and overall a fantastic experience. When in town, you MUST stop by and taste mole...

We ordered the mole sample platter as well as the mole chicken. There were just two of us and the sample platter was more than enough to fill us up! It came with mole negro (black sauce), mole rojo (red), mole verde (green), and one other.

When they brought the chicken mole, we were overwhelmed by how big the plate was and how much food there was! They brought it with the negro (black) sauce. We would have preferred the verde, but didn’t think to ask for that when we ordered. The chicken piece was a leg and breast, bone in.

The service was relaxed, just like every dinner restaurant we went to in Huatulco. Our gentleman server did not speak English so we used Google translate.

Needless to say, we learned how to ask for to...

We were walking around town and found this gem. My partner can only eat gluten free and they had alot of options. We were sat quickly offered water and drinks without any wait. The cerveza cold and chilled mugs. I ordered a chicken salad and OMG it was so big, so neatly put together and that Oaxaca cheese is so damn good. I also had fried chicken tacos which was hard to eat after that huge salad. My partner had chicken with black mole and was so so tasty. I highly recommend going here to eat, so much flavourful and great food with awesome staff. Such great prices, tastes food, great service and nice atmosphere. Thank you
