I stayed in a dorms room for 2 nights in Sept 19 Pro: Staff really kind and helpful! Good location, 5 min walk to the center! Cleaned Size of the room is fine Comfortable beds International charger Great Wifi Felt secured to leave my belongings Toilet and shower are in separate but they are inside the room There is a washing machine available and a kitchen, I haven't used them...
Cons: No A/C only big fans No hot water(while I stayed there we didn't have but we didn't need because it was hot outside) There are big windows which enters alot of natural light and there are curtains, for me it was fine but if you can't sleep in light then you will have a problem
My opinion: I enjoyed my stay very much! The staff we're super kind and helpful, the house is being cleaned and maintenance, nice atmosphere and great value for the money! However it was hot in Huatulco while I stayed, and there is no A/c only fans, and the curtains in the room doesn't block the light well... For me as a traveller it was fine and I managed to sleep well but reconsider if those things are...
Read moreToo hot, but very clean, well-maintained, and by far the cheapest option in town for a solo traveler (though expensive by Puerto Escondido standards). I enjoyed chatting with the cute and friendly manager Maribel. The place is spacious and generally well-equipped, and would have been comfortable if the weather wasn't over 35°C every day I was there in April. As it was, it was much too hot to hang out there during the day, but would be fine if you're going to be at the beach all day anyway. The dorm is air conditioned at night when there are at least five guests, though the cool air barely reaches the far end (choose a bed accordingly). The ceiling fans are pretty good too though. There's only one toilet for the dorm, though you can also use the small one (without a toilet seat) downstairs next to the reception. The kitchen is pretty good. The location is pretty good for what it is, almost right downtown, and about 30 minutes' walk or a short bus/taxi ride from the...
Read moreMy friend and I (22w and 23w) had such a great time here! The hostel is cleaned daily, and the 3 women working here bend over backwards to make sure that we are comfortable and cared for (including letting us in at 6:00am when we were supposed to arrive at 3:00pm. Sorry!). They helped us arrange all our tours, and gave us great recommendations for stuff to do around town on days we didn't want to spend money. They are honestly the kindest people, and they're happy to help with any question you may have. They also have a friendly dog named Cookie, who is a total sweetheart: very affectionate if you want the attention, but she'll leave you alone if you want. Overall, a really great hostel! Thanks...
