I just had a filling lunch here and I'm stuffed! I ordered the Tlayuda premium (300 pesos) that came with carne asada and ribs. It also came with sides of avocado and onions. The meal is huge, you get two plates one for the Tlayuda and one for the meats! First the Tlayuda was crispy and the cheese was so good. It's so cheesy that you could do a cheese pull with it. By itself along with the provided salsas, it's a meal in itself. Now the meat was tasty and not fatty. I really enjoyed the carne asada, it has the fresh off the grill taste. Combining the meat and the Tlayuda made it a wonderful meal. I also had an agua de sabor, lemon flavor. It was like a honey lemon iced tea. It was really refreshing. The restaurant was not busy at all an hour after it opened. It's a large space and was very comfortable. Overall I recommend coming here for lunch or dinner. It will fill you up. If you're two people, I highly recommend just ordering one Tlayuda premium and sharing it. We ended up taking some home since we ordered two. If you're in the neighborhood, I definitely recommend...

ABRIL 2024 Ahora un día pedí Para llevar una tlayuda con costilla.
Deliciosa, como siempre, y con su respectivos chepiches y rabanos. Salsas y chilito habanero.
El siguiente día comí ahí y pedí tostada de adobada y una orden de arrachera que estuvo espectacular, término medio como siempre.
SEP 2023 De regreso a Oaxaca y decidí probar de nuevo.
Tlayuda de costilla, ahora deliciosa. Buena costilla con hueso. Extra chepiche!
Arrachera insistí termino medio y llegó perfecta.

Hoy no estuvo tan bueno. La tlayuda rica pero la costilla muy cocida y ahora eran pedazos.
La arrachera, la pedí medio y la trajeron super cocida también. El nopal, quemado. La antencion del mesero muy a secas y nada amable.

Agua de té de limón muy rica. La única queja que solo manejan mezcal espadín, deberían tener más variedades.

I happened to walk by when I was looking for dinner. The reviews looked good so I decided to go in. Live music by a guitarist/singer, the smell of a 'smoker' (the cooking device). Not crowded at 4pm, three other occupied tables. I asked the server for recommendations since I had never seen or eaten a tlayuda. She recommended the costillo as an example of regional food.
