Yesterday I had a delightful lunch of salad and tostadas with mushrooms. Because I have celiac I asked about the salad and found out it normally has pasta (!) but they kindly omitted it for me. I especially appreciated the professional and friendly server Jorge who answered all my questions, forgave my mess, and patiently balanced a full dining room, cashing out customers and creating specialty drinks and other menu items. I’m not vegetarian but didn’t miss meat at all. The flavors were great, the plant-filled terrace on the second floor is cozy and relaxing and they even have a small gift shop. Be careful not to miss the entrance (an unmarked brown door) as apparently their sign on the street was stolen. Once you enter you will see a staircase with a sign mentioning their vegan specialties. Read moreI am so lucky to have stumbled upon this place! First of all, the women who run the place are so sweet and passionate about their vegan food. They have different specials depending on the day, so check out their Facebook page for updates. Food was fast and delicious! Will definitely go back. Highly recommend for a quick, healthy, local,...

For Friday lunch, I was served by the owners. The set meal was fairly uninspiring but ok, rescued by a homemade salsa. Returning the following lunch, I had a small vegan burger that was also ok; however, the homemade chips were virtually inedible: slivers of slimy, oily partially cooked potato. The biggest difference, however, was the ambience. The staff (the owners' children? young casuals?) seemed interested only in playing music at volume; service was minimal and robotic, with the guy seeming to be in charge not even bothering to make eye contact...
