Yabalá Ramen — Restaurant in Oaxaca

Oh how I wish I could give this place more than one star. I almost didn't enter the building because I saw the staff chitchatting outside and no one inside so I assumed it was closed. Once I asked a couple of the workers if they were open they said yes. (Wish I had left) So I went in and ordered some gyoza, ramen and a "latte". They come out and handed me a very low quality capuchino with way too much milk and very little espresso. The gyozas were very hard and seemed to be frozen. Not fresh!. Also the beef ramen was like if the went to the taco stand next door and just poured it in the "ramen broth" yikes!! No Bueno. So sad because for 20 dollars or 400 pesos a person I expected high quality cuisine but instead I got a Maruchan poured in a bowl with burnt gyozas and Nescafé milk coffee 🤣 still can't believe they had the audacity to charge 75 pesos for the coffee hahaha. Do yourself a favor and just drive past this place and buy a ticket to Tokyo for some...

The 3-star reviews are accurate.

I got the Chashu Ramen and, while the chashu was reasonably good, it appears the ramen lacked any kind of real broth. I had to add maybe 2-3 spoons of soy sauce to get any kind of taste.

For such a high price ($250 per bowl), expectations were understandably very high, and it failed to deliver.

Ya había escuchado mucho sobre este lugar y quería probarlo. Debo admitir que todo está delicioso, probé el ramen Yabalá y el Luka y la panceta está deliciosa, la carne y los fideos excelentes. El servicio siempre fue muy amable y atento. Tienen un control donde puedes llamar al personal de acuerdo a lo que necesites y eso lo hace más rápido que estar llamando a cada rato. El lugar está decorado al estilo de los sakuras y había un piso arriba y afuera. La comida es un 100 pero en lo único que no coincido es en el precio, es muy caro. Casi todos los platillos están por arriba de los 200 pesos y si uno tiene suerte, cuesta 150 pesos. Está delicioso y claramente iría nuevamente pero en un momento que mis gastos me lo permitan porque solamente fue posible pedir dos ramen, dos bebidas y la cuenta ya estaba por 700 pesos. Les recomiendo ir porque sí vale la pena pero también recomiendo que vayan con un buen presupuesto para probar más platillos que seguramente están muy ricos. Tuve que pedir el Luka porque así podía probar las gyozas y los dumplings. Solo por el precio le doy 4...
