La Terraza — Restaurant in Playa del Carmen

La Terraza is a lifesaver for our busy schedule. It's our go-to restaurant where we can count on having a delicious, warm and extremely well-served lunch for an excellent value. We love their lunch menu, always a great variety to choose from. We love all their dishes but among our favorites are the fajitas, the lasagna, chicken pibil, chicken with mole... uff and so much more. Every weekday lunch starts off with a delicious soup! They also bake their own tortilla chips, which they accompany with four yummy salsas... watch out they do have a nice zing! I recently visited this establishment and was impressed by its delightful flavors and inviting atmosphere. Unlike many other places, the prices here are reasonable, making it a refreshing choice. I particularly enjoyed the chicken molletes, which were beautifully presented and made with fresh ingredients. At just 33 pesos per mollete, the value was quite reasonable. Additionally, the tea was exquisite, adding to the overall pleasurable experience. The relaxed vibe of the place further enhanced my visit. Highly recommended for a satisfying and laid-back dining experience.

Waiters can do more to earn their tips instead of sitting around...

The food was okay though I wouldn't eat here again if it was an option. Multiple orders from my group were incorrect even though we all speak fluent Spanish. The menu is only in Spanish so make sure you can read some food and drink options beforehand. My hashbrown had to come on a separate plate about 5 minutes after I got my food, but it was still frozen in the middle. Their 'aguas frescas' were refreshing in the outdoor heat but overall didn't have a distinct taste -just a hint of whatever fruit they are made from (I tasted cantaloupe and mango ones).
