We visited this restaurant 3 times, and 1 star is our conclusive rating after the incidents happened. Read on and decide for yourself. If you are short on time, read the section visit#3 only. Visit#1 was on a weekend. We ordered from the regular menu lasagne and grilled chicken. While lasagne was tasty, the chicken was just edible. Both portions were rather on the small side for the price. Drinks on the expensive side. Service was okay-ish and you can't expect much from the ambience located on a busy roadside. The bill came correctly, we left tip as well. All in all, we decided to return for another visit to try more dishes. Visit#2 we went on a weekday as they have a special menu called "ejecutivo" from 2pm to 5pm. The first thing was that they brought the regular menu first, but then I explicitly asked for the lunch menu. One of the waitresses brought it upon request. This time we ordered a pasta dish that would cost $88 on regular menu but with lunch menu reduced to $79. I ordered a salad that was advertised as $79 on lunch menu. As dishes include Jamaica water, instead of additional drinks we ordered 1x cheesecake ($25) and 1x americano ($10 instead of $25). Pasta was delicious, salad was so-so. In the end, the bill came with 2 cheesecakes and my salad was entered as $89 instead of $79. I did make them correct the cheesecake but didn't want to discuss the price of the salad. I deducted the $10 difference from the tip I was thinking about leaving. Mistakes can happen and because one of us was still happy with the food, we returned for another time. Visit#3 was again on a weekday for the lunch menu. This time before entering, waitress#1 asked our name, if it was our first visit, and if we had any allergies. After we were seated, again he brought first the regular menu. I asked for the ejecutivo menu. Waitress#1 asked us to wait for a moment. And then came waitress#2, and asked if he could take our order. Again I said I'd like to have the lunch menu. He checked his watch (it was 4pm, still in the advertised timeframe), then reluctantly said only cash payment. We said no problem, and we ordered from the lunch menu 2x pastas each advertised for $79 (only dish that was tasty and worth the price so far), 1x americano for $10, and 1 cheesecake for $25 (expected total $193). As we suspected the bill might not be correct again (but hoped it would be), we took the picture of the lunch menu as a precaution. And up until the moment we asked for the bill, everything was smooth, service was friendly and we were thinking if the bill comes right, how much tip we would leave this time. Sadly the bill was not correct from start to end. Americano $25, ejecutivo plates each $89, plus an additional $43 for the pasta sauce (remember this pasta would cost us $88 if ordered from the regular menu. In the regular menu you pay for pasta 43 plus for the sauce you select, ours listed as $45), so a total of $271 came instead of the expected $193. Waitress#2 came and we wrote down with a pen what each item costs according to the lunch menu, and made him correct the bill. Just for the record, we speak not perfect Spanish but enough to discuss all these. Eventually, waitress#2 came with the correct bill, we paid cash, waitress#3 brought our change, and we took every single peso and left. Sadly:...
I have lived here for 4 years and have always enjoyed this restaurant. Sadly, a new waiter today charged more on the bill than what was on the special lunch menu. He knew that I was ordering from the lunch menu at the time, and never said anything about not being able to order from the lunch menu. When the bill was presented I had been charged the regular menu price for all items, increasing the bill a lot. When I tried to rectify this, they told me that I didn't say I wanted the lunch menu. How ridiculous. The waiter is dishonest and a liar, and the establishment is greedy by not correcting the bill. Because of this, I will never return, I will not recommend this place, and I will be sharing my negative experience on social media and with my friends. After reading through the comments, this has happened many times before with other customers. It is clear that it is happening to non-mexicans, which makes it feel even more unfriendly. It is just bad business practice to rip people off like this under the assumption that because I wasn't born here you can charge me more. Leaves a bad impression of the...
Read moreYesterday we ordered a Pizza Vegetariana. The pizza was delivered after 55 minutes competely cold and WITHOUT ANY CHEESE. In the menu it is clearly written that the pizza vegetariana has mozarella chese on it. I don't pay this price for a cold, wet, lousy pizza. Now, as most people here, we do not have work, spend our money for a pizza and then we got the worst pizza of our life.
I want to say that the food an the service back in the past in the...
