San Carnitas - Playa del Carmen — Restaurant in Playa del Carmen

We went to this place twice, but the first time the server was a nice older man in the 2second video. The experience was good enough to make us want to go back But then we went back for dinner in the same place, we met this guy in the 18 second video that was talking about us and refusing to repeat it when we gave him translator to say the same thing. Mind you, he was laughing and making faces at us while saying what he was saying. But then when I brought the translator to him, he refused to repeat it, and this was the same person that was making our food. That made us so uncomfortable and ruined the whole experience. Obviously, he was saying something so rude that he could not repeat it in the translator so I wouldn’t know exactly what he said and he was saying the same thing over and over again until the translator came out then he all of a sudden didn’t have the courage to repeat.. rude and disrespectful. I felt so uncomfortable. I was going to leave without touching any of the food that was about to be served and leave everything behind after ordering for our table. But my partner told me go ahead and pay and take it to go. If he did not say that I would’ve just left especially with him still watching me through the window and laughing looking out at us with the lady that was behind the counter with him. If you want to experience, this place and its good food go during the day when they are responsible servers that care about the business and not people like this who are chasing people away with their bad habits and energy. I told my server what happened payed and left as fast as I could.. hate staying where I don’t feel welcomed. Had just arrived in Playa del Carmen and was walking around the neighborhood of our Airbnb. We stumbled upon this restaurant and are we glad we did! This restaurant is about one kilometer from the center of PDC, very local area. Food was fantastic! When we sat down, the waiter brought out this tier display of chiccarons and all sorts of different salsas to try, spicy and delicious!
