Serendipity is a delicious little restaurant off the tourist trail in Playa Del Carmen. It has a relaxed cafe vibe to it with indoor and shaded outdoor dinning areas. Its a great place to visit alone or with friends and family. Its only about a $2 cab ride from the tourist zone. The front patio is elevated with a great shade cover to keep the sun off you. This opens up into the restaurant where you can smell the chefs next masterpiece being made. Sunday service is a bit slow but the bilingual waitresses make the wait worth it. Coffeeoholics like me don't have to worry, the barista is on the ball and gets those yummy cappuccinos out right away. The meals are prepared fresh with locally grown non GMO ingredients and presented very elegantly when brought out. It shows the chef takes pride in what he does. We asked for outside seating as it was very hot inside They told us no because we were only two. We went 3 houses down the street to a new restuarant , Green Fit (which was amazing by the way). Read moreLovely place with nice menu and attentive service. I really liked that although the menu descriptions seemed pretty middle of the road and standard, the actual dishes that they prepare have some nice extra touches both in terms of flavour and appearance.
