Los Almuerzos — Restaurant in Puebla

My girl and I went to this place to have breakfast, the place seemed to be nice to stop to have some food, it was clean and the staff is very friendly, the tables are good sized so you will not feel like tuna in a can.

The specials here are the “Almuerzos” and the churros, which are made in place and are delicious by the way.

We ordered 2 “Almuerzos #5” which includes 3 cazuela dishes, chopped fruit and a cup of coffee, just for $155.00 pesos each one.

In my case the dishes of the “cazuelas” were served with “morcilla”, cecina and green sauce chilaquiles and my girl’s dishes were “cochinita pibil”, “papás con chorizo” and “puntas de filete a la mexicana”.

Unfortunately all our dishes were a total disappointment, just except for the “cochinita pibil” it was ok.

The chilaquiles were missing of acidity flavour in the sauce, the morcilla was tasteless and the cecina was ok but the piece served was too small.

The dishes that my girl tasted were the same tasteless, the “papas con chorizo” need a better sausage and the “puntas a la mexicana” tasteless.

I must write that all the dishes are just served in a big plate that means if your dishes have broth, everything get mixed and the flavour is simply a total mess.

Hope in a near future can brought you a cazuela in their own dish to avoid mixing...
