Mr. Pampas Juárez — Restaurant in Puebla

Very sad experience. My boyfriend and our friends went out last night and were very excited. After getting food from the buffet, the waiters served my boyfriend and I our food but not our friends. After a while of waiting, my boyfriend raised his hand to call over the waiter (like everyone does) he said "Dont raise your hand at me like that"....okay... While serving the meat, they would forget about people. They would ask if anyone wanted it, we would all say yes and then only give it to one person, saying they will come back and give to the rest and never did. At the end, they pressured that we needed to leave a 20% tip, which was just bad manners. We left still hungry, so we went down the street for something more...

Actually surprised by this place and although it's not the best quality meat, the salad buffet is what you'd expect as are the desserts, the meat just keeps on coming.... Wide variety of meats and seafood, from Cowboy Steak, Arrechera, Top Sirloin, Beef Rib, Pork Loin, Chicken, Chistorra, Chorizo, Tongue, etc. Plus having the meat come in swords, vertically, is sliced in a different manner too. But service is quick, pleasant and very filling. Expect to pay about $350 MX per person, drinks not included, full bar and great number of wine available. Place is loud and busy, informal, lots of families...

LO BUENO: Principalmente la variedad de cortes puede ser su principal diferenciador, y su calidad de carne, ya que esta viene bien cocinada sazonada y llega caliente a tu mesa. Otra cosa destacable es que mientras tu letrero esté en verde los meseros pasarán sin necesidad de buscarlos a ofrecerte todo por medio de sus espadas. Eso ayuda a tener que estar pendiente de los meseros como en otros lados. La atención de los meseros que cortan la carne es personalizada, te mandan lo que pidas en caso de que no lo tengan. Hay una gran variedad en la barra fría aunque no es de la mejor calidad ayuda a probar tus carnes con diferentes guarniciones. En general la carne se siente de buena calidad fresca y en buen término sobre todo el top sirloin.

LO MALO: Por el precio puede parecer que es un ganga pero en realidad no lo es tanto, ya que en realidad no son cortes, sino rebanadas servidas es desde las espadas de los meseros, un corte ribeye o New York no encontrarás aquí. Otros restaurantes de parrilla podrás consumir un buen corte individual de 400 gramos por el mismo precio, suficiente para quedar satisfecho.

Cómo es costumbre en un sitio así tipo buffet las bebidas se cobran aparte, y no son baratas. Por lo que debes prevenirte con otra gran porcentaje para esta parte. Se agradecería mucho que te ofrecieran agua simple para limpiar el paladar.

La barra fría es un tante aburrida, ensaladas básicas y pastas poco originales nada relevante, incluso pueden verse un poco fresco sobre todo el sushi. Pero quien come sushi ahí? Yo quitaría eso y pondría otras propuestas de salsa o puré de papa. Es como si estuviera pensado aparte esa barra no combina...
