Well, having a Japanese name for your establishment doesn't make it "genuinely" Japanese! The management and the staff should have a Japanese way of thinking as well. I am not going to type what a Japanese way of thinking means because am sure some of you do know it. I know I shouldn't be too harsh since the hotel is in Mexico not Japan but if you guys want to attract more guests and have them keep coming, please do start thinking like a Japanese person. Go to rooms, look around. Take notes, what's missing or what item is at a wrong place! Where are the slippers? Oh, no slippers provided neither in rooms nor in ofuro? Too bad! You book an executive room for 2 people and only one of you gets the free breakfast? When the juice is obviously grapefruit but the tag says pineapple? You know some people may have serious reactions when they consume grapefruits! If you don't ask; such as what time the breakfast is, where the breakfast place is located at, how does the ofuro reservation work, how come your card doesn't work at the gym etc etc. You'd have no clue and kept calling the reception desk for an answer or go downstairs to talk to them. Read moreThe food is mediocre. I heard the best reviews so I ordered food to my room and the food was just horrible. It was so salty and gross. Also they gave me so little tuna on the ramen. I wouldn’t go to the restaurant if I stayed here, just order food from Uber eats. I would say that other than that the installations like the gym, pool, Japanese bath and the washing room its amazing. I loved staying here. Too bad the food is so bad. I would come back but not eat the food from room service.
Also the lady that answered the phone on the restaurant lied to me and said I was the only one EVER who complained about the food, just look at the reviews and you know she lied.
I will be coming back for the Japanese style rooms and toilets and the onsen. But please for the love of god, do not order room service. it’s terrible. The breakfast it’s...

The hotel has serious electrical issues. I had read some comments about his but thought it was just a minor detail. It is not, while you sleep, the lights in the room keep turning on in the middle of the night.
When you talk to front desk they confirm the issue and offer no solution! Next morning we asked to speak to the manager who was not onsite and that all the could do is pass out comments.
With these kind of issues and answer from the hotel front desk we cannot recommend...
