ResTaurante Ayami — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

We booked to come to this restaurant for our first A la Carte dinner for our honeymoon stay at the catalonia Maya riveria, one staff told us that there is only room for one of us to eat and to tell either my wife or myself will nit be able to join another couple who also stated that it was for 4 people. I can't believe they 1. Would allow a honeymoon couple who has privilege access to do this and have one person eat and the other one would have to leave or wait for them to finish. 2. The lady who was hosting at the restaurant was very rude and condescending aswell. It seems like they can take more then 2 people at a time as we saw a group of 6 right after we walked in. They allow regular guests to pay cash for entrance into the restaurant and take priority over other guests who have paid a huge amount money for privilage to have these privileges for bookings and other services that just get left to the way side. I have had way better experiences at other resorts and not have paid for privilage either and to be treated like this. The customer service desk does absolutely nothing for you as a guest aswell. At least Esteban at the front desk was able to get us into the steak house so at least we could eat that night. Thank you Esteban!

If you plan on paying for privilege don't do it here, I would highly recommend ocean coral and turquesa in the Mayan riveria. Absolutely steller service, drinks and food were delicious and they actually have more professionalism then the catalonia...

This restaurant is located inside the Catalonia Hotel in Puerto Aventuras. Made a reservation through the online system for 6:30 and showed up 15 minutes ahead of time. We were told by the person working the front desk - Fahzel or something like that -that he couldn’t let us in. I showed the confirmation email showing 6:30 and he still insisted that he didn’t have the reservation and we were turned away. The way he spoke to us with arrogance, desdain and lack of respect was offensive. We went to guest services to seek help. After explaining the situation and showing the confirmation email, the person who helped us, called the restaurant and spoke to someone and instructed him to honor the reservation. We went back and were let in this time. The energy to enjoy this type of experience was so deflated, that what was supposed to be a fun and enjoyable group dinner went south quickly, due to the fact that despite being able to have dinner at the facility, the mood for the rest of the night have been ruined by the way we were addressed. Based on the way this individual is allowed to treat people, we will not be coming back to...

Decepción total. Nos lo habían recomendado como el mejor restaurante del resort y ha sido una experiencia mediocre. De primero 4 piezas de sushi sin más. De segundo, "Ramen con shitake y wakame", cuando en realidad son fideos con champiñón y perejil, CHAMPIÑON Y PEREJIL! Si no van a poner lo que aparece en la carta, que no lo vendan como tal. A continuación aparece la persona encargada de cocinar los segundos, y comienza diciendo que está aprendiendo y pidiendo disculpas por lo que va a hacer, comentando que no va a hacer nada de espectáculo y se va a limitar a cocinar, para pasarse toda la cena preguntando si nos parece bien lo que está haciendo. Para redondear la situación, nos han sentado con una familia bastante desagradable, que, aunque no es culpa del restaurante, no ayuda a suavizar la decepción de la cena.

Si pudiéramos volver a elegir optaríamos por otro restaurante como el Steak House y no por este, cualquier parecido con un restaurante japonés es casualidad.
