Restaurante La Uva — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

This restaurant has a beautiful view of the ocean. However, our experience with the service and the cuisine was far below even the most basic of expectations. I will say that our server was very nice, and yet it took much longer to serve our food than any other table around us (even though they were seated after us). Two of our party had fried fish which had been fried so long that the meat was solid and tastless and on top of that it was served cold. The three margaritas we had were lacking of any flavor (and tequila?) and took over half an hour to arrive. I have never experienced a meal like this in my travels in Mexico. While I set my standards higher for the quality and taste of the food in this country, this meal was one of the worst I've had. The restaurant has a great view of the lagoon. But the customer service is horrible! At first they are jumping up and down and making back flips so you're convince to dine at their restaurant. Once you select what restaurant you want to eat and have been seated, you are forgotten. My wife and I are looking at the server and cook and did not bother to see what we wanted to order. Until I got up from my seat and interrupted the server from her posting on Facebook. Once we ordered our food it took longer than usual to get our food and drinks. The seafood is great, the service is excellent and the beers were very cold. Live music was ongoing on Sunday. Nice place to relax...
