Restaurante Mangle — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

In all honesty I hate writing bad reviews especially on such a beautiful island such as Holbox that my wife and I had the pleasure of exploring for 2 weeks and meeting so many wonderful people. We tried a different restaurant every day for lunch and for dinner. So after hearing so many great things about mangle, we saved it for our last dinner night before we had to go home. And I hate to say it, we had the worst experience here out of every restaurant we went to on around the island. First off, our server, he was very in attentive to us and gave most of all his attention elsewhere including his phone. We had to practically wave him down every 30min to just get his attention. We sat in the restaurant for 2hrs (not by choice) and within that 2 hrs we were serve; 1 drink each, 1 main dish each, and a single slice of cake. It was like pulling strings to get anything. They could have gotten so much more out of us if then just tried to serve us but we finally gave up and walked up to them to get our check. Very disappointed. Plus, my steak was 50% fat so didn’t really eat it. The chocolate cake was the best part of the meal, it was delicious.
