For example, adding their superb house-made spicy oil to the flawless beef tartar - already a 5/5 dish - is one of many wishes happily fulfilled. The head chef personally checks on guests to ensure satisfaction, a highly appreciated detail. Every question from dish intricacies such as meat source to choosing the best meat cut for our taste, is answered in detail.
The nearly fully exposed kitchen adds transparency and an enjoyable view of a coordinated team at work.
My personal highlight is the exceptional beef tartar, confidently one of the best worldwide - and I've tried many. Made with filet mignon in generous portions and customized to preferences e.g. perfectly spiced. The impeccable pasta carbonara, even though you're continents away from Italy, delivers an authentic Italian experience.

We’re spending a month in Tulum and came across this gem after grabbing coffee next door during our second Airbnb stay. After walking around La Veleta all day, we were on the hunt for somewhere with AC and—most importantly—no mosquitoes.
As we walked up, the staff handed us the menu before we even stepped inside. I spotted the filet mignon for $360 pesos and was instantly sold 😂.
The atmosphere was perfect—chill fine-dining vibes without the fine-dining prices. We started with the fried provolone and polenta, and that sauce? So good. My lady ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, and I went for the filet mignon with fries.
The pasta was super fresh and hearty—exactly what we needed after walking all day. But the filet? Man, the gravy on it was unreal. I didn’t even know filet mignon came with gravy. I poured it on every bite 😮💨
When I finished, I ate the rest of her food too 😂 Nothing was left on my plate.
The cherry on top? A cool, mosquito-free spot in Tulum. Major win.

Read moreI can’t say enough good things about this place. From the moment I walked in, everything just felt right, super clean, cool inside (the AC was such a relief!), and the whole vibe was welcoming and relaxed.
The food? Absolutely amazing. Everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. You can tell the ingredients are top quality and made with care. Honestly, every bite was delicious.
What really made the experience stand out, though, was Tomaso, the Italian manager. He was so kind, friendly, and just genuinely cared that we had a great time. He gave great recommendations and made us feel like VIPs. You can tell he has great taste and really knows how to run a restaurant.
The rest of the staff was just as lovely, attentive without hovering, super friendly, and quick to help. Service was smooth and everything came out just right.
