Tacos y Pastas, Luis y Marisol — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

We have been coming to this area for more than 20 years. And we have never in that time and in all kinds of restaurants, all-inclusives, etc ever found any pasta dishes that even compares to Luis' pastas (not to mention his tacos). The pasta is made fresh daily and thus is exceptionally light, and delicious. The other ingredients (vegetables, shrimp, etc) are also just as fresh and together they make for spectacular dishes. The place itself is a bit rustic, but absolutely authentic Mexican. The clientele are a mix of tourists and locals as this restaurant appeals to everyone. Great Tacos and Great Food! As we walked up we had a large group of people so they quickly set up tables and chairs on the street side. People ordered food and sodas right away. A few people wanted alcohol so they walked down the street to the convenience store to get drinks for those that wanted them. The sodas came in glass which I Love! Hands down THE BEST thing we ate all trip. The Al Pastor is next level. The best taco I’ve ever. EVER. had. We were referred by a local fellow, and by gosh I’m glad we were. Everything was dynamite. The pasta was unreal. Shrimp cooked perfectly. All 3 different types of tacos, unreal. We kept on going back and back again. PLUS the value. Do NOT go anywhere else.
