We decided to stop in here for one of our morning walks. The host was very friendly and spoke perfect English, encouraging us to come in and try their specialty of the house. While I don't often eat soup for breakfast, since the Sopa Birria de res is the specialty of the house, I figured why not? Service was excellent. They took our drink order immediately and checked on us periodically throughout the meal. To drink, I ordered the cafe de olla, which was excellent. Stacy ordered limonada mineral, which she orders almost everywhere in town. She remarked that it was some of the best in the city. We both ordered the Sopa Birria de res. Stacy ordered the small, I ordered the large (for my own future reference, the large is TOO large). Before our soups arrived they placed containers of salsa, onions, limes and cilantro on the table. Also a special salsa that was specifically for the soup. Warm homemade tortillas were also brought out. The soup arrived and it was amazing. Tons of tender beef in a spicy broth. It was amazing. I enjoyed making mini tacos with the beef, cilantro, onions, and salsa. This place is one of my favorite authentic Mexican restaurants in SMA. The prices are incredibly cheap for such high quality food. Closed Tuesdays. Open 8:00 am to 4 pm.

Randomly walked into this really cute place with nice decors while I had 2 hrs to kill between bus transfers, and ended up with the best food I’ve had in Mexico so far! The house special beef soup is to die for! Especially with the homemade chili sauce in the little yellow jar. I loved the hot sauce so much that I asked for some in a plastic water bottle to take back home with me. The owner speaks good English and he is extremely accommodating and friendly! He took his time to explain the menu, even offered his personal recommendations. I was here really early so for a while I was the only customer, he even introduced his entire staff team to me, everyone is very positive and friendly! I got a small cup of special coffee that’s on the house, it has cinnamon and some sorts of special sugar in it, I never had it before, it’s a bit too sweet for me yet very interesting to try. Amazing food, great service! Totally worth the visit 🥰

This is a lovely, clean outdoor restaurant. There are lots of tables ... physically distanced. Staff is friendly. We didn't eat but were with a group that took up two tables. The people eating really enjoyed their food. Several were return customers. We all shared big bowls of what i will call their tequila citrus punch because i can't remember the name. It was delicious. Prices are perfect for many families. We look forward to returning soon to eat and enjoy more punch!

Amazing lunch before catching the bus to CDMX. Alex was such a great host and spoke perfect English. Originally from Guadalajara, Alex brings delicate flavors that shine brightly through each dish. The Birria de res was deeply rich but somehow light on the tongue. Compared to birria from the states, this was a most welcome change to perspective on how Birria supposed to taste. Their corn tortillas are so soft and pair perfectly with the consomme. They provide a healthy amount of cilantro, onions, lemoncito, and their wonderful spicy salsa that you can top your tacos with. Do yourself a favor and stop by on your way in or out of town or just make the short trek from SMA city center to grab this...
