Great little neighborhood place. My wife and I recently moved into the Lindavista neighborhood and we're eager to try some of the more "local" restaurants in our new neighborhood.
We were pleasantly surprised when we entered El Arcangel. While its atmosphere can best be described as eclectic, it was quiet, comfortable, and welcoming.
Our server welcomed us and quickly took our drink order. We ordered a pitcher of limonada mineral, which was freshly made with real fruit (not like the mixes served at many restaurants).
My wife ordered the enchiladas Suiza, which she said was delicious (the portion was huge so I was "forced" to have one and I had to agree. The salsa Verde was excellent, there was a nice crema topping, the chicken was moist and tender, and the tortillas tasted incredibly fresh.

Read moreThis restaurant is great! Very close to the bus terminal and also a short walk from the center. Don’t be discourage by the surrounding, as it could be too Mexican for foreigners. I had the Sopa Azteca which was great. It smelt so good that I forgot to take a picture and just went straight to consume it all. It came with a fresh bread bun. The prices here are very affordable unlike the pretentious restaurants in the center that tend to overcharge you. Place is very clean and cutesy with live plants and Buddhism decors. The staff were very attentive too. If you want clean, good, Mexican food, check this place out. By the way, check their menu as they have a lot to...
