Edgar’s Bar — Restaurant in Sinaloa

Glad we found this space around the corner from a late night restaurant. Pretty much everything was closed since it was not a weekend night but two bars on this corner were open. It’s an old bar. You’ll find locals, live music, dancing around the tables. It was busy, but they found us two seats at a table to share with another gentleman. Everyone seemed nice. This is an air-conditioned place with subdued light and a great number of peñatas hanging above contented people having a drink. There are many photos, in fact this place is, besides a bar, a photo museum. I had planned to come back here before I left to see the photos up close, and I'm told that the bathroom is something not to miss, but miss out I did on my second and most authentic visit. Fun experience. Old time Mazatlan bar that is popular with locals and tourists. In the old days it was men only, women not allowed. Service is great and you get a live local singer to listen to. They serve a botana or small snack at 1.00 or so. Saturday was a few chicken wings. Low prices too, my wife and I had two beers and two rum cokes for 114 p and the free botana....
