Have been eating at Betos for last 3 years as seafood always good. Last year was overcharged for our orders by a couple hundred pesos. I am notified via text every time a charge is made to my credit card. Pointed this out to our waitress who based on her response was guilty. She wanted my card to correct but i refused and demanded cash. Went back a few times last year and now record menu price to verify total on bill. Went tonight and shrimp pate much smaller, and meal had only five good sized shrimp. I got fries in place of rice which is very common both at Betos and other Mexican restaurants. Verified with waiter papas fritos in place of rice who verified absolutely ok. They tried to bill me 110 pesos for the fries, and another 35 pesos for extra garlic. The waiter admitted it was his mistake so he spoke with his female boss who took 55 pesos off bill. Refused to pay the 55 pesos but agreed to pay extra 35 for garlic even though seemed excessive. Unsure if female boss was waitress from last year but possible. Neither of us speak a lot of Spanish, and the waiter told us the female boss did not speak English so couldn't speak to her directly. I will add have read about over billing of expats at other restaurants and grocery stores in Mazatlan but this is the first restaurant where it has happened to me. El servicio amable por el mesero, sólo necesita estar más al pendiente. Lo que de plano les hace falta es poner orden para el ingreso al lugar. Quienes esperan a pasar deberían hacerlo afuera, en la banqueta, ni siquiera en las escaleras. No que están prácticamente ENCIMA de los comensales que se encuentran ya ubicados cerca de la entrada. Y ustedes como negocio, deberían tener a una persona asignada para anotar el orden de llegada y número de comensales. Nos tocó que un mesero nos preguntó cuántos éramos y se olvidó de nosotros. Ya luego tuve que YO BUSCAR a quien sí llevaba el seguimiento.
