Nice Stone Island beach day from Cruise ship. Molokay one of better restaurants and good bathrooms, decent food, many beach chairs, umbrellas, tables, and covered patio. Vendors not too bad as they have a "fenced" in area.
From Cruise Port a 10-15 min walk to a small ferry (Left once on street and at end of road go straight down dirt road and look for Yellow building for ferry (small boat) dock and tickets) - across the river to Stone Island beach (Ferry is I think $1 each way and takes 10 min). Walk to Beach 3 minutes and then lots of beach restaurants for the next 500 yards. Molokay restaurant is about 10 min walk from ferry. We were there on 23 Feb 2022 on a cruise. Beach starts to get busy about 11am. Restaurants open about 8:30am. Food and drinks low cost. WiFi availble at most restaurants. Rent ATV to go south on empty beach (no restaurants, etc.) for the next 1+ mile. ATVs about $30/hour (can hold 2 people). Plan on 30 minutes to return to ship (but can get a taxi from ferry dock to save 10...

In summer time the water is actually warm and the ocean waves are calm, however the temperature could reach + 98° F by noon. In the past this place was only accessible by boat, nowdays you can get there in vehicle, boats and even "Carretas" (Wagons pull by a horse) which tourist enjoy very much. Amenities: Banana boat and horse rides and of course "Banda" music and more. This is a very nice place to take the family and enjoy a memorable time. I do really...

But we saw another table with people sitting at it and sat down. We learned the turned chairs are to keep the sand off. After a while, a server came over. She was friendly trying to take our order, but we never got that warm and fuzzy feeling from our visit, so probably...
