My son and I were here yesterday Sat. March 20th. After a couple of years I finally decided to give this place a shot since many of my acquaintances had spoken very highly of it. The place is casual and kind of deceiving. Sushi connoisseurs we’ll be delighted. You we’ll be hosted by the chef and owner himself Koha Takayama. If you like authentic Japanese sushi without all the pretentiousness, this is the place.

I’m from Japan and was pleasantly surprised to find a gem in Mazatlan and meet the friendly owner, Ko-San from Japan. A must go if you are looking for authentic, fresh and delicious Japanese food. We ordered somen for our girls and omakase for adults. Will be going back soon! Arigato.

I now travel via MZT airport for the season before heading to Latam from SF. This is a authentic Japanese restaurant. I’m coming back every time I’m in Mazatlan. Their prices are reasonable and they only accept cash or transfer via local payments if you have a Mexican account.

I had heard about Sushi Ko from various people - locals, extranjeros, and my students! I had tried to come several times before but didn't realize that they are serious about requiring a reservation, at least a week in advance! So, we did, and it was worth the wait!! Delicious, fresh sushi and nigiri, and the service was great, and the decor/atmosphere perfect for a 'hole in the wall' restaurant that serves the freshest fish and sushi created by their Japanese chef. Wow!!! The best authentic Japanese sushi in mazatlan. Beautiful, fresh, simple and fabulous. Served like a true Japanese restaurant “as is comes” and great service. Real wasabi and ginger!!!! Reservation and cash only! You can bring your own wine/booze! Again so excited not to have sushi covered in cream cheese. They have real hand rolls!!!! Truly the best sushi. I can’t wait...
