X&O is a unique little cafe located just off the popular Plazuela Machado in picturesque “old” Mazatlán. X&O offers an extensive collection of board games (Carcassone anyone?) to check out not to mention espresso coffee that rivals anything I’ve had here in San Francisco. You can’t go wrong with the excellent waffles either (waffle fan here). The space is clean and tidy and the service is diligent (a welcome fact in laid-back Mazatlán). The owners hail from Canada so the cafe has a familiar and relaxing feel to it. The entire staff is bilingual (Spanish/English) and they were very generous about sharing their knowledge about their city, which I put to good use - thanks everybody!
