Restaurante Huamuchil — Restaurant in Tolantongo

Definitely a great choice for dinner if you're visiting Grutas Tolantongo. (Note that this is for the Restaurante Huamuchil not for the Cocina Económica Huamuchil which is close by).

We got the Mocaljete. The menu says it's a meal for three people, but the portion was so large, it could have fed at least four people. The meat was delicious and well seasoned, the peppers were hot, and the tortillas were warm and fresh.

For drinks, I had the piña with amaretto while while my friend had a virgin piña. They were both delicious, although a bit too sweet. They were not stingy with the alcohol.

The service was okay, very attentive at first but as the restaurant got busier, it took a while to get our server's attention. However, the food arrived quickly.

If you don't speak Spanish, don't be intimidated. The servers were quite helpful and friendly, and we still managed to communicate well enough.

El lugar está bien, buena higiene desde la entrada hasta los sanitarios, la comida esta pasable.

Lo malo. No aceptan tarjeta, tengan cuidado porque la jarra es de 2 litros y si no se ponen atentos les dan solo litro y medio y cobran los dos, pedí un platillo que incluía otra guarnición y me dieron algo totalmente diferente, cuando solicite que la jarra era de dos litros el personal se molesta, y el trato es nefasto, cambio mucho en los últimos años, por cierto al final con caras y todo pero me dieron el resto de agua que...
