Mariscos el Bayo — Restaurant in Veracruz

The service is impeccable. The food is absolutely delicious. I had the Caracol en vino blanco (snail in white wine). What an esquisite taste. I wasn't expecting the smoothness of snail. The White wine delicately gave it a kick. For dessert try the queso Napolitano (Napoleon cheese cake). It is a combination of American cheese cake and flan, but not too sweet. There is a sanitizing station when you enter the restaurant observing the mandated pandemic screening. First you step on a black mat to clean your shoes, then your hands are squirted with hand sanitizer and finally your temperature is taken. The music in there is a blend of reggaeton and cumbia. The decor is first class with linen napkins. Yet, the price was moderate. $$....

Good food but worst service I ever had, I understand the restaurant is busy but that doesn't excuse the lack of attention, ordered flan after my meal and after 20 minutes I waived at a waitress and she said she would notify "my" waitress, 20 minutes later still no flan, I was finally able to get "my" waitress attention to just ask for the check, plenty of seafood options around, will not be coming back to this one. PS - WTH, after paying my check and getting up to leave my flan arrived,...

El sábado 14 de mayo fuimos como a las 12. El lugar lindo. Estaba vacío, me imagino que por la hora. Pedimos: Callo de hacha (estilo aguachile) Taco de pulpo Taco de pescado zarandeado Agua de jamaica

En general el servicio fue lento, considerando que estaba vacío el lugar.

Primero llegó el callo ( mi esposo y yo amamos el callo, en cada oportunidad lo pedimos) y éste en particular estaba CHICLOSO!!!!, el Caldo bien, pero la materia principal HORRIBLE!!!bya li

Después llegaron los tacos. El Mío en particular, la tortilla fea, el pescado zarandeado SIN SABOR!!! ni con el caldo del callo lo pude mejorar! El arroz también simple, un poco duro.

Parecería que todo estaba congelado o viejo!

Una experiencia terrible ! Lo único salvable fue el agua de jamaica.

Y lo peor!!!!!!!! Es que al Pedir la cuenta dije “como comentario, el callo está chicloso, imposible de comer” - a si ok checo. Después volvió un mesero con la cuenta y ya. No esperaba que me regalarán absolutamente nada, pero si que alguien tuviera la amabilidad de acercarse y preguntar qué había pasado. Repito!! Eramos los únicos en el establecimiento. Mi molestia más grande es que no vivimos en Boca del Río y nos guíanos por los reviews, teníamos sólo la mañana de ayer para desayunar- comer SÚPER BIEN! Y pues no…...
