I've eaten here 4 times now and i can fairly say this place is 50/50 hit & miss. When u go at night, they take very long time to get you your order & yet the food taste rushed. And unfortunately those are the times the tacos were sloppy, full of fat, guacamole was bland, it tasted like nothing and they just didn't taste tht great because the meat had no flavor. I love the tortillas being hand made, but when rushed, the tortillas don't taste fully cooked. When they have ppl ordering 30-40 tacos in one order, they fall way behind with everyone else. Now the 2 days i went early (once i was the 2nd customer of the day & another day i was there an hour after opening) the tacos were FIRE! They tasted nothing like they do when they rush. That's why i gave 3 stars, because i know the tacos CAN be good, but they're not always good. Last, they don't let you get salsa like other places. They have a grocery store bag of rabanos and limon, that's the only thing you can grab yourself. If you let them put red sauce on your tacos when they are being prepared, you can't get green sauce. If you ask them for no red salsa, they will only give you one little green salsa for a big order of tacos, which didn't make sense. I ordered 15 tacos with no salsa roja and they would only give me 2 salsa verdes.
I really only come here when the taco trucks that are usually on atlantic aren't there. My favorite truck is the one that parks one little street over from compton blvd. Next to...
Read moreI've been to this location twice and the one in Pomona once. My first two experiences were good. The one last night won't have me returning back. I grabbed 2 tacos de carne asada and 1 al pastor and the carne had A LOT of inchewable fat, too much to say it's normal for a taco. The tortilla was falling apart before I took a bite so keep it in the paper lining to prevent the meat from flying out. The taste was good. And we didn't get to grab any condiments. You go to the door and order there, then you grab them in their grilling set-up area; the customer can't grab any of the condiments or grilled onions and no napkins were placed in the bag. We ate the tacos in our car like most other patrons were doing as well. At 11:30p parking was limited unless you wanted to park in the red area. A car just parked on one of the transit lanes while ordering and moved his truck once a spot opened up. The tacos are basically $3 (tax included) now. And there was nowhere to sit and eat this time around. The first time they had a table out on...
Read moreI hate that I have to give it 2 stars but cmon now. so disappointed to see my favorite taco spot serving this so-called Carne Asada. I come all the way from Whittier even though thereâs one closer to me Iâve been coming here for years! I donât know if itâs because of their taco Tuesday special you get different meat But this is by far not Asada. And if it is, I got the bottom of the barrel overly chopped dry meat. I even went back and asked the guy if this was carne asada , he replied by saying yes. I told him this is not the same meat You guys serve when you guys are cooking outside in the evening. He said that it was. For the taco connoisseur and taco lovers out there, we know when things change specially when you come here for the flavor, texture and taste of the meat. Weâre gonna notice! The only reason I come here is because these Tacos used to taste almost identical to the original poblano in Tijuana. Almost identical. Not today.Maybe it was just a bad day today. Better...
