Location is good in a busy area and you can usually find parking somewhere close. Food is average at most. We had quite a few dishes, from soup to various main courses. For example, the chicken soup was very basic in taste and looks - felt more like a canteen. Most food would probably be in that range. Edible, and that’s it. Staff: Most are young, maybe students or young graduates. When it comes to services.. Honestly, I don’t even know what they are doing there. It’s obvious they don’t like their job and they don’t like people either. No smiles, complete lack of interest or professionalism, and they seem annoyed when asking for something different than what they would expect. The mood overall is ok. This is a neighbourhood restaurant for everyone’s budget, which is good. Prices: Standard level for Chisinau. 30$ for 5 people - with drinks and one-course food. Toilets: I have to say, they are in really bad shape, like in a cheap Irish pub a 1 AM after a football night. The smell gave away the fact that they either can’t use disinfectants or they simply forgot they have to clean them. I saw a nice cleaning lady moving around moping the restaurant, but she’s probably afraid of cleaning the toilets… beats me. Anyway, overall, the toilets were really disappointing. Conclusion: due to the state of the toilets and the grumpy staff, I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you just want to have a few beers with your friends and it’s really close to home, and you can get drunk and not get lost after. Otherwise, it’s pointless to go there.
PS: I saw the company wanted to contact me personally, however, I don't believe in this type of service. We are customers, prove us wrong next time and improve the quality of your business. You currently have over 4 stars rating and I think that's ridiculous when having a...
Read moreThis is a 24/7/365 eatery in Chisinau that’s packed and serving cabbage stews at 3 a.m, and it was definitely an experience ... Despite its Italian-sounding name, the restaurant specializes in local Moldovan and Romanian fare and has several locations across the city . The concept — a round-the-clock spot serving barbecue and traditional soups, and doubling as a late-night hangout — may seem gimmicky, but the flavors were genuinely well-executed. Each dish is made to order, and it shows.
The broths, especially the standout ciorbă de pui, were surprisingly complex. They manage to be flavorful without relying on the excessive saltiness that mars similar dishes elsewhere. The soups ultimately strike a satisfying balance between savory and tangy, thanks to the natural fermented sourness of cabbage paired with exceptionally fresh chicken. This isn’t your average factory-farmed meat — the chicken is nimble, clean-tasting, and clearly of high quality, with a delicacy that’s rarely found in late-night fare. The pickled flavor is subtle, enhancing rather than overpowering the dish, and allowing the natural character of the chicken to...
Read moreTrattoria Della Nonna is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you're embraced by the cozy, rustic charm of a true Italian trattoria. The atmosphere feels warm and inviting — perfect for date nights or family dinners. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. I tried the Rigatoni with Calabrian-style Bolognese and it was bursting with rich, comforting flavor. The pasta was clearly homemade and cooked to perfection. The wood-fired Margherita pizza was another standout — thin, crispy crust with fresh basil and creamy mozzarella. For dessert, the Sicilian almond cake was a dream — light, nutty, and beautifully presented. Service was top-notch. The staff were friendly, attentive, and happy to make recommendations. You can really tell they care about creating a great experience. If you’re looking for authentic Italian food that feels like it came straight from a nonna’s kitchen, this place is...
