First impressions matter and unfortunately everyone at the host stand could not have been more unprofessional or rude. It seems like they hire anybody off the street based on the complete lack of professionalism and immaturity we encountered. Leila and Ilona in particular could not have been nastier or more hostile to deal with. In addition to being a guest at the hotel, I had made a reservation a month in advance and when we arrived they had put us at a table by the wall in the corner of the restaurant. We asked to be moved to a table closer to the railing to have a nice view. Ilona insisted it could not be done because there was another party they would be seating there, implying they pick and choose which reservations actually matter to them. Instead of finding a viable solution and doing her job, she proceeded to start loudly gossiping with the male manager and Leila. Imagine management being so incompetent that they engage in this behavior. While we did move to another table, it was not the one we requested. The best part? No one ever came and sat at the table we initially requested the entire duration of our meal. The only saving grace at this horrendously run establishment was our server, Samuel, who was nothing short of wonderful. Everyone should learn a thing or two from him in terms of how to conduct themselves professionally. If you’re looking for a high class and upscale experience, this is definitely not the...
Read moreI was born & raised in the Middle East so can claim that I know the Mediterranean cuisine rather well!
Em Sherif sets the bar high when it comes to this location, the staff attitude, the excellence in presentation & of course the very delicious food!
I was there for the Monaco GP (Grand Prix) weekend so it was a set menu although I was hoping to try some à la carte options but those weren’t available.
The starters such as hummus, moutabel along with those kebabs (meat balls), chicken and many others were really great and do not get me started on the freshly baked Arabic bread!
The deserts were all top notch with exception but we all admittedly fell in love with the traditional Arabic ice cream (booza) with cotton candy & pistachio! It was so good that we ordered an extra one!
In terms of improvement there’s not much to say except the chicken could’ve been of better quality!
On an unrelated note I saw some videos circling social media on the lady behind Em Sherif which is truly such an amazing place (I tried the one in Dubai as well) so indeed well done to her! However, she may want to consider the way she speaks on social media about how she treats the chefs/staff at her restaurants as some things she said weren’t very encouraging to hear for me from a client’s...
Read moreI am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the level of service provided at your Em Sharif restaurant, Monaco location. My company and I have been subject to disrespectful and unprofessional behavior by your Store Manager.
While I appreciate and respect your dedication towards the authentic Lebanese dining experience, a shocking incident concerned the unavailability of the Lebanese burger. This dish is offered in Em Sharif branches in Lebanon, Kuwait, and GCC nations.
When I inquired about the burger, the manager rudely directed us to a Burger King, stating, "We sell Lebanese food here." I find this offhand comment both disrespectful and nonsensical, as Lebanese burgers are part of Em Sharif’s menu in other regions.
It's highly unprofessional to trivialize a customer's request in such a manner. Perhaps the manager could benefit from learning that Em Sharif indeed 'sells' Lebanese burgers. Your restaurant's reputation should be built on quality service and respect for patrons, not on offensive sarcasm.
I expect your immediate attention to this issue. A sense of professionalism and respect should be reflected upon, in order to maintain Em Sharif's...
