So me and my Fiancee are currently in Podgorica, Montenegro 🇲🇪 on Holiday from our home in Manchester, England 🏴.
As we are staying in an Airbnb very close to Zheng He Chinese Restaurant and after Googling it and reading the Fantastic reviews, We knew we had to go for Food.
So we headed in and we were warmly greeted by a waiter who walked us to our table, To Drink I started with a pint of Local Beer and my Fiancee opted for a Local Red wine.
The Guinness was ice cold and went down a treat, My Fiancee liked her Red Wine 🍷 and again it went down a treat.
So to start I ordered the Hot Beef salad (Thin strips of Beef, Pepper, onions, bamboo shoots, carrots), The Beef was tasty and went very well with the shredded Vegetables etc.
My Fiancee opted for A Prawn starter which she really enjoyed and then we were onto our main courses I ordered Beef and pepper in a oyster sauce and my Fiancee ordered a Beef and Brocoli with a side of Fried rice and a portion of home cut chips.
My Beef with peppers in oyster sauce was amazing The beef was perfectly cooked and went really well with the peppers and onions with the oyster sauce, The beef literally melted in my mouth.
My Fiancee ordered Beef with Brocoli which she said it was delicious and cooked perfectly, The Homemade, Home cut chips tasted absolutely amazing and the Fried Rice was amazing.
We were served by David and Dado who I have to give a special mention for their customer service skills, Polite, Friendly and helpful etc.
Dado and David were extremely attentive and nothing was too much trouble and the service was absolutely fantastic oh and they threw in a round of Free drinks 🍸 😀.
We Highly recommend...

Is Zheng He starting to lose its shine – not because of the quality of the dishes (which remains excellent) – but because of the unprofessional, even careless, attitude of the staff?
The second-to-last time I went to Zheng He (this one in City Kvart), everything was perfect, especially the service provided by the waitress.
Last time, however, a few red flags appeared:
First, the table wasn’t properly cleaned. When the waiter brought me the menu, I subtly pointed out that there were still crumbs left by the previous customer. I wiped them away with my right hand, but it didn’t seem to register with him.
I ordered a starter, a main course, and an apple juice. After the starter, he brought me the main course. I then reminded him that he had forgotten the apple juice. He apologised.
I arrived in the late afternoon, at a time when it wasn’t very busy. The terrace was full, but I chose to sit inside, where I was the only customer. A waiter, thinking the room was empty, completely let himself go – loudly using crude gestures and vulgar, inappropriate expressions for fun with his colleagues – until they quickly reminded him that someone was in the room.
His almost dismissive attitude when it came time to pay at the entrance forced me to signal to one of his colleagues that I preferred to deal with him instead.
A classic Montenegrin problem: excellent food, but vulgar behaviour – the complete opposite of what one expects from a place of this standard.

Read moreI encountered the worst waiter in all of Montenegro here, Milan. He is a complete racist who harbors a deep hatred for Asians because he assumes Asians won’t give him extra tips (tipping is not common in Asian cultures). He treats Asians as if they are invisible, serving us with sarcasm, slamming the menu in front of us, and even cursing us in Montenegrin (not knowing we could understand it, haha). I don’t understand why he would choose to work in a Chinese restaurant if he harbors such hatred towards Asians. I hope this restaurant can hire some educated people as employees. All other waiters I’ve met in Montenegro were friendly and enthusiastic, but Milan at this restaurant shattered my perception. I would never recommend any Asian tourists to visit...
