20&26/1/25 Monday & Sunday late evenings
We 4 experienced travellers were after a reasonably priced meal in Morocco. Our Sofines Hotel receptionist recommend it
We found it at 22:30 and the friendly waiter and waitress greeted us warmly even though we were tourists. We took an outside table, I chose a beef couscous (60) whilst my friends chose a chicken couscous (50), walnut pizza (55) and a vegetarian pizza (45). An OJ (15), 1l fizzy water (15) and .5l fizzy water (10) were also ordered.
Two small bowls of green and black olives were presented which were a tasty start.
In good time the drinks and food arrived. The couscous was piping hot and tasty with a generous amount of succulent lean beef. It came with a bowl of spicy sauce and a glass of yoghurt. My friends enjoyed their dishes, even the unusual walnut pizza.
We ordered the bill which came printed and accurate at 250. We paid by card plus a 20 cash tip.
People were still arriving as we left around 11:40 as we found most restaurants were closed.
At the end of our short Morocco tour we stayed in the same hotel and decided on this place again for our last meal in Agadir together.
We arrived earlier this time and it was busy at 21:45. We were welcomed again and as it was cold we checked out upstairs but that had a different ambiance with a young guy in the corner playing his phone rap music rather loudly. We returned to a corner exterior table where there seemed to be an argument nearby between some guys and the staff so when a table further in was vacated we grabbed that.
We all decided on a different tagine each, a large bottle of fizzy water and an avocado 'juice'. The water came quickly.
It was getting colder and nothing arrived for a long time, it seemed like they were cooking it from scratch which technically was not the point as they are usually sitting on the heaters for hours making the meat tender.
Our conversation was occasionally interrupted by noisy motorbikes and cars.
We were getting quite cold so I popped upstairs, post the stairs being cleaned, to find a busier, warmer and more convivial atmosphere with other diners. I returned at 22:25 to find the traditional tagines arriving along with the avocado 'juice'. We decided to stay on the terrace to dine although most of the other diners had left so we were alone. A few youngsters came shortly afterwards to eat too.
My friend's Chicken T (55) was bubbling furiously and extremely hot so he could not eat it at first. It was generous though.
My beef T (70) was more fatty than my previous and was only hot so not a problem. It was quite tasty though as the fat percolated into the vegetables. I used the bread provided to mop up the juices
Our friend found his Kefte T (35, the cheapest) extremely tasty and hot. He was happy.
Our friend's vegetable was OK as they usually are quite overcooked anyway.
We enjoyed the bread provided too and decided not to have a dessert.
On finishing we ordered the bill which came as an accurate 245 so we paid by phone/contactless and left a 5 tip. We left...
Read moreAte here for a late lunch on 21st August 2025. Had a few main dishes which were ok but my mixed grill had chicken not fully cooked where it was pink in colour and the the texture was odd. When I showed it to the waiter he apologised and took it away and said he would bring a new one. A little later he came back with an older man who worked there and the man said the chicken was cooked on a flat plate (plancha)and consequently chicken does not brown in colour. However, the chicken was pink inside regardless of how it is cooked. He did not want to acknowledge the uncooked chicken. The waiter was continuously apologetic which I appreciated. However, the senior waiter was rude! I will never enter this place again and uncooked chicken can kill let alone make you...
Read moreA beautiful and well presented family run restaurant. We enjoyed the wood fired pizza and the beef cous cous was hands down the best I've EVER eaten! It was served piping hot with the broth on the side, generous amounts of tender beef and beautiful cooked vegetables. On top were spiced caramelised onions which I have never had so it was a nice surprise and addition. A cold glass of Laban came with it which was very refreshing! I couldn't finish it as it was a huge portion, but also I had ordered a pizza. The lovely kind girl serving us packed up the leftovers and as a surprise added even more beautiful vegetables for me to take away, what a thoughtful gesture! Thank you to Delice staff, this was a truly excellent meal and one I will...
