The only good experience at Sama Loubnan was the waiter, but the food is nowhere near worth the high prices. You're not paying for the food; you're paying to sit in a fancy, crowded, and noisy street in Agadir Bay. There’s no Middle Eastern taste in anything they serve, and the prices are ridiculously high. The best Middle Eastern restaurants in Morocco serve their food for almost half the price.
For instance, the Ayran was basically just Moroccan Lben, definitely not Ayran, and it cost 30 dirhams! We ended up packing all of the food and giving it to the cats outside, which cost us over 500 dirhams.
If you won’t reduce the prices, please bring in better chefs and make your food worthy. Focus less on decoration and more on the food itself. Those who have had real Middle Eastern food wouldn’t set foot twice in this place. I will not be coming back to this restaurant!
It’s disappointing to see similar feedback in the review history from months ago, yet nothing has changed. The restaurant clearly isn’t considering reviews and will not take what customers say into...
Read moreThe food was okay overall, but it lacked flavour. I really wish the chilli sauce had been fresher, it would’ve paired so much better with the mixed doner. On the upside, the hummus was absolutely amazing. I’d honestly come back just for that. The service was great too, really friendly and attentive.
That said, the place didn’t quite live up to the hype I’d seen in the reviews. Maybe it was just my order. The doner was fresh and tasted healthy/ grilled, which is great as it’s not greasy like the ones I’ve had back in the UK, but a good hit of fresh chilli sauce would’ve taken it to the next level. The starter bread was also a bit tough (felt microwaved) which was a letdown.
My husband seemed to enjoy his shawarma but didn’t enjoy the homemade lemonade at all.
Overall, I’d say it was decent, but not quite the standout experience I was hoping for...
Read moreVisited Sama Loubnan twice this week.
The food is good, plenty of options to choose from, tried Hummus, Grape Leaves, and the different sandwiches, Falafel and Beef Shawarma - well flavored and fresh.
The staff is very friendly and checked during multiple times if everything was ok.
The prices however is a little bit above average for the size of the portions comparing with similar restaurants on the area.
Encountered an issue the two times that I visited the place, when asking for the bill, there was an issue with the “card payment machine”. The first time I taught it was normal, and it could happen in any restaurant, but the second time a few days after encountered the same issue when the staff replied “I think that today we have an issue with the machine” which makes me assume there’s no machine at all. Not that much...
